why's this game so brutally hard compared to BG?

I struggle enough with BG on normal, this game would probably clap my cheeks pretty hard.
It is intentionally more linear and combat-focused, hence the higher difficulty.
Isn't hard, is combat focused. And is AD&D, so you either know what you are doing and game is easy, or you don't and get fucked.
At least isn't Pathfinder.
>Enhanced Edition
You dun goofed
>goblins in the first town one shot you
fuck this game
EE version off IWD is trash
It messes up with the whole balancing of the game
And I'm the type of person that would recommend BG2EE
How desu?
You need to spam rest and quicksave scum in BG2 for a few hours until you get half decent gear then it shouldn't be hard anymore
AD&D isn't combat focused, that's the real problem. Pathfinder could at least handle it if it was balanced. Old school doesn't handle gameplay well.
Not really if you ignore the new kits.
Healing mechanics are shit. You have to carry a million tiny hp pots or rest often in dungeons which is unrealistic.
>pathfinder could at least handle it if it weren't pathfinder
Dude, you might be a genius.
How can you lose a source code?
Protip: cast sleep
>the best black isle game is the only one without a remaster
feels bad
BG2's proficiency is shit for IWD. Extra spells also break the game.
Just go for the original
But why would it need one?
It works perfect in my modern desktop
Its combat focused, which is fucking stupid. Only retards play rpgs for their combat, and only try hard triple chin neckbeards like min maxing in shit like DnD for combat.
Yeah if you like squinting your eyes
But the UI doesn't scale.
Pretty sure there is a mod to center the UI
Talking about scaling not centering
