tons of people know about Savage my dude, no one fucking played it because S2 is a garbage company.
i haven't seen a discussion about it in almost 9 years my dude.
People assume it's shovelware like most Pac Man spinoffs, but it's secretly really good.
that's because S2 hasn't done anything in years, savage and savage 2 were both good but not great
because both Savage games were treated like shit by the devs.
Savage 1 was forgotten and continues to exist though newerth.com and savage 2 was never updated or balanced because HoN came out.
S2 released a Savage 1 remaster into EA and never updated it either so it died after about two months.
You forget this tire fire.
Dad bought this from a garage sale for my birthday, don't remember if it was good or not.
UNATCO?
There's a SECOND one!?
where the FUCK my frogger chads at?
*sword clangs so loud your neighbors call the cops*
fuck armor games
theres 3
i played a demo of that, you're not the only one who knows of its existence
It had the misfortune to come out the same year as Crysis
I owned the sequel to this. The music was actually pretty good.
>To be continued
i will never forgive them
I remember playing this one, it was pretty fucking hard at the time.
can't find it but it was about a fight between archangels, undeads and demons where you chose between a hero and could command armies too alla Conqueror's Blade.
this looked cool back then
OBLIGATORY
RIP
I loved this game so much. Such a fantastic game that just could never catch a fucking break. Devs left it to die to go fuck up their attempt at a dotagame cash in(twice).
I loved Savage 2 so much that I even bought this piece of shit(pic related) that died before the devs even put out the second update. Didnt help that combat was stupid savage1 style "jump behind your oponent then press attack" crap, but at least it was savage.
Fuck even without the RTS aspect the combat of S2 was just so good. A shame we'll never see another game like it. Nothing will ever give me the feeling of a end-game savage 2 match with ultimate units and general chaos going on. Thank you for making this thread so I can remember something I'll never have again
Some 2D sprite based first person mech game from the late 80s/early 90s I can't remember the name of and no one around here has been able to identify for me
I emulate the PSX version all the time but never knew it had a GBC version. Probably one of the best monster-raising games ever.
at first I thought it was a sequel to this
youtube.com
>NICK SCRYYYYYEEERRRRR
Fuck i remember this i was around 7 some baby possesing a cyborg or somthin
I wish I knew 20+ people just so I could play another match of this game again.
I pirated this through ODC lmao memories
Shiny Entertainment probably one of my favorite studios ever. Made nothing but gold then they were reduced into mobile shovelware devs.
i've never played the psx version, but i know the gbc version is fun as hell.
i never got around to completing it, and recently restarted it
give it a shot when you get the chance.
Robot themed fighter, good music, and badass as fuck
I loved this game.
this nigga
Walking sim done right
This series had potential, however the devs. made three fatal mistakes:
>The simple two buttons gameplay
>Release it in the period mainly about Tekken
>Very overall poorly promote the game
Despite implying a sequel youtube.com
This game had been delayed so many times my hype just died and I forgot about it when it finally did release.
Holy shit, I was just about to post this. One of my fav dreamcast games. Good shit user.
you win
Wow, NTSC got the shaft on the box art
Amazing idea, terrible end product. Wish someone actually remade this with a budget.
oldpcgaming.net
does she count
I played this when I was a kid. Amazing OST, comfy levels. Great game
>that kid who would always choose primate and cheese you super fucking hard because he's op as hell
FUCK YOU TYLER YOU FUCKING CUNT I KNOW YOU POPPED MY BICYCLE TIRE ON PURPOSE YOU FUCKING CLOWN
Spent so many goddamn hours on this shit.
Shit, I came across a youtube video of this years ago, name?
Great games.
My picks would be
kingsleys adventure on ps1
extermination on ps2
and literally any fucking net yaroze hall of fame game
agreed
it's an actually competent port of SimCity 3000
Are 1 and 3 worth playing too?
Take no prisoners m'nigga
fucking LOVED this shit with my bro
the commander/rts system was great
the combat too, perfect mix of real-time stuff with mmorpg-like abilities
Sacrifice is my top 1 game of all time.
Anyone else remember this thing having like 40 goddamn discs?
Some guy dumped a bunch of webms of this the other day, was that you?
I always thought it looked weird from the box art but you actually play as that cherub and I've rarely been so confused. Just, why the fuck make people play as a baby?
Nope, not me. Just tried to think of an old obscured game. Then I found about the "oof" Roblox thing.
This is a really fun action platformer reminiscent of Shinobi and Bionic Commando. The title has the stank of shovelware but it's secretly one of the best games on the GBA.
Forgot to say, this is a fun puzzle game released late in the SFC's life span, and it gets REALLY hard
fantastic game
I had this on PC. My mom used to play it all the time.
Xanadu Next
mix of Zelda+Diablo with kino atmosphere and a 10/10 OST
3 is one of the worst games ever made
I loved that game, every now and then I wish my PS2 wasn't dead so I'd replay it
1996 game bought it 10years ago at a shitty store
I got stuck in this game and did not finished it.
I have this game on the shelf right next to me. It's awesome.
Boring ass game, but it was pretty aesthetic
Thats a common game.
How about something amazing.
relaxing atmosphere and good puzzles
Give some details, maybe someone will know it.
It only had 3. Wing Commander 4 had 6, and Wing Commander 3 had 4. Prophecy drastically reduced the amount of story compared to its predecessors.
Massive potential that was never realized.
>a russian video for an unofficial German expansion made by no name devs
I think you win
Everyone posts images, but Battle Monsters for the Sega Saturn
And we might all learn of a new mech game. Mech games are rare, we need as many as we can get.
There's a lot to go by, just because it's first person mecha game there's a good chance it's Mech Warrior
I can't think of another game where you can solo wipe a full squad of 5 with pure skill alone.
>be shaman
>destroy enemy malphas while running around in circles
>rage ensues
good times
>sprites, not early 3D and not as crude as the original Mechwarrior
>first person, cockpit UI
>initial choice of two mechs, one slightly faster and one slightly more armoured (I think)
>enemies are other mechs
>menu is an interactive bunk room, with things like a bed to save or a locker to start missions (like that, I don't remember exactly)
>certain points on walls can be destroyed to explore building interiors
>single person, no team or allies (that I remember)
>too many failed/aborted missions plays an FMV of your base being destroyed, with either primitive 3D graphics or actual models
The last time I brought it up, the other week in fact, I got some suggestions but it wasn't any of those. Earthsiege reminded me of it the most but it's early 3D and I don't remember the game being that sort of 3D at all. The menu is wrong, too. Also bear in mind I'm 30 and I remember this as a game I barely played as a kid, upwards of 20 years ago, and my dad was a big fan of pirating games so I don't remember any sort of box or CD.
There is this old PC games from 2005 era or more done by literally who. I don't remember shit, you were an angel or warrior of lights and you fought demons in field battles, I think it had some sort of mount combat and the only thing I can remember is a snowy maps
Used to play daily and complete it in one sitting.
I'm sure someone else here played it but it was such a surreal experience when you didn't understand a single thing going on
And the mission that was nothing but an advertisement for an expansion pack that either wasn't made or never reached mainstream release and isn't online at all
I can't find any screenshots, videos, or downloads of the game after a brief search, but the most obscure game I think I've played is War on Americas.
The game was (presumably) made by Al Qaeda back in the mid 2000's, but saying they made the game was rather generous considering it was basically a bootleg version of the tank game called Heavy Weapon where a bunch of assets were replaced or lazily overlaid with a bunch of Arabic shit which was likely propaganda or other anti-American sentiment. They even slapped USA flags and logos onto all of the enemy vehicles. The most amusing part was how there's was some super weapon you could use and each time you did it would cause the game's soundtrack to be intercut with Arabic chanting. This was out around the same time as Night of Bush Capturings or whatever the fuck it was, but War on Americas seems much more obscure.
I have never seen it pop up anywhere on Yea Forums.
>Not posting ETROM
>Mom bought this 4 times
lmao. i never understood why you use miniguns in medieval period
I never played this when I was a kid. Bought it a month ago out of sheer curiosity. This game is something...BIZARRELY GOOD. It's so SMOOTH and has a lot of SOUL to it. It's really fun.
For me its TOTAL OVERDOSE
youtu.be
I wish he'd play the rest of it.
The terrible story is right there on the box, my dude
yeah i understood now i meant back then
fuuuuck yeah, this is one of those games you'd beat as a kid and come back to it as an adult and it blows your mind that you got past the first level at all, it was so damn hard. really good concept though. wish they'd make something like it today.
I remember nearly every kid in my class (mexico) was playing this for some reason
Lmao wasted so many hours flying on this one
I was floored when it got a steam release. I'm 22 and it really influenced my interest in mecha and transforming macross stuff
Its garbage, a shitty SHITTY doom clone.
Looking at it now
it holds up.
Everyone knows what it is, but it doesn't exist in their heart save for mine.
>Heh
>Finished it 5 times
This game looks really fucking neat, but I can't get used to the weird controls. I like isometric shooters so I kinda wish some of these old ones would get remade.
I am surprised at what I could complete in one sitting when I was a kid too. The closest concept to Time Commando that I know of is Daikatana.
I only recognize it just because I saw it on a spanish pc magazine and always wondered what was it about. Time to download I guess.
Open General
Flawed af but it was very enjoyable nonetheless
This is fantasticly shit.
This was a pretty good rip off of gauntlet.
Paperboy 3D but edgy.
>that gameplay
giantess was a mistake
Better than Limbo.
>Ghost X
I liked the designs.
1 is amazing
IF they do to it what they did to Spyro though... there's so much SOUL
This game was shit
Played the demo for this on an XBO disc and it was unfairly hard as fuck as I recall.
Metaltech: Battledrome ?
>that time when Banpresto made a Valkyrie Profile clone with Keroro, Darker than Black, Blood+, Scryed and Slayers
By far the weirdest thing I've played from them.
Rumy is a forever waifu.
Played it
game had a Dobson mechanic
whoops
I had this, Excalibur 2555AD and some other first person dungeon crawler on a promo disc back when I was a kid. I can't remember what the third game was called.
The playstation version was the fucking tits
That's not it, no
Way better than Worms 3D turned out.
Can't speak for the demo, but the full game has its annoying moments. I believe it’s done so to balance the time manipulation mechanic, which was implemented better in Singularity. I liked Tshift better because of the cool armor.
>Want to recommend it to people because it's one of Falcom's best games
>Can't accept that XSEED's release has never fixed a bug that makes an enemy attack impossible to avoid
This was much better than the reviews it got.
Fuck you i liked it.
>Could beat the game without the lives code as a kid
>20 years later I can't even beat the first stage
TimeShift had more options with time manipulation compared to Singularity.
nigga everyone knows about those shitty gearbox half-life expansions
The Steam release made me realise that the game's aiming system is 100% designed to work well with a controller and terribly with a mouse.
So, this is essentially a Shantae game but with Mavis.
I feel I might be one of the cursed few to know the Frogger Lore, it is not a burden I carry lightly
This little obsurce gem called Portal . It's pretty funny and quirky
I wish more people knew about Renegade X. Can only get a game going in the early morning.
Goddamn Psi-Ops was a great game
>Big Boss (upgrade)
>Not Bigger Boss
This is a great low budget Zombie FPS.
The MP is still active.
wasn't the lore exclusive to that game only? also bipedial frogger is cursed
True. Singularity played with other things like gravity. Also the remote control rifle was fun. Darkest of Days was another shooter with Time traveling, but never played it.
That Lina looks absolutely soulless. Also, what series is the guy at the bottom with the hairband from?
why did the ps2 have so much throwaway anime trash
Fucking brilliant game.
EU release removed 99% of the sexy stuff though.
yeah but did you play this?
whats this from?
>T-thanks grandpa
I remember liking this game, but I found it really hard as a kid
Eternal Poison was good though. So was pic related, although the voice acting was terrible in either language.
Burners gonna burn.
Best console exclusive FPS of the PS2 / Fatbox generation.
It also carried over to this game in the loosest of ways. Gotta say that this one is leagues better than the first
At least the soundtrack was good
youtube.com
Damn I remember finishing this over one night also
>That ending
move
How long til the HD remake that kickstarts the Frogger license once more
If you ever replay it, you unlock Nightmare mode on completion which once complete, give you a different (true?) ending.
Only truly Ancient Gamers remember
I much preferred the original one with him sacrificing himself
Not a great fan of the >he was the killer
Move aside
Reckin balls
Fuckin kek
Can't wait to see this man on the Fighter Pass
Jereziah is my leader.
Where my Spectrobes lads at
I worked on this.
God forgive me.
Genuinely one of my all time top favourites this.
Damn shame it never got a sequel or any real recognition.
I have very fond memories of this one
This one's kinda old but I remember having fun with it when I was a kid
loved that my dude
People always tell me Ninja Warriors isn't that obscure but it's never posted in these threads.
Best one in the series.
There are 5 of these on the 360, and nobody ever talks about them and how fucking awesome they are.
I remember playing this all the time along with some cereal box game about some blimp and that you had to order the rest of the game
Playing this on a Toys R Us demo disc as a kid gave me nightmares.
Gunna have to find and play the full thing now.
>game isn't obscure
>so it doesn't get mentioned in obscure games threads
Had it for the PC, fun times.
This is the best Fast & Furious game in all but name.
I'm retarded.
Secretly a cult classic.
GET HYPE!
nah i played that a lot when i was a kid. never saw the movie, but i was a huge fan of the rock
It's decent, though it gets boring and grindy after the first half. I remember playing it for the whole night before going to school. Such a comfy time.
The mission with the Gossammer was a fucking nightmare, ruined the game for me.
I loved this.
Found out recently it's a cut up and thrown together FPS version of a TPS PC game which had more levels and a different story.
It'd most likely suck, they'd be doing my boy frogger dirty, just let him rest.
>makes a fucking masterpiece with HoN
>make a shitton of retard decisions and kills their own game
seriously, maliken is fucking retarded holy shit
I just found this random game in a movie rental store I used to live by.
It's a good game with a great soundtrack.
one of the BEST games I have ever played, and the only bomberman game that I liked
this is incredible.
I have hazy memories of playing this on xbox, all I really recall is the transformation mechanics and all the environments looking the same
I never managed to do anything in this game, I'm retarded?
Super Bomberman 2 and Bomberman 64 are the best games in the series.
I liked buying shitty indie games on 360
Tommy Tallarico shilled Advent pretty hard when he was still on TV.
He was extremely proud of the dynamic footstep sound effects he made for the game and ranted about it at every given opportunity.
The cowboy and both world war levels were my favorites. plataforming was a fucking nightmare though.
PSX version was based
Fucking loved me some Johnny Platform.
His Christmas Romp was good too.
Orphen
WELCOME
TO MY GAME
I'VE PUT ZOMBIES IN IT
FOR YOUR PAIN
Oh, I only recognised it from the cover of the PS2 game.
Best thing to come out of Xbox Live Arcade
nah, they are all anime shit. This one was fast, great animation and humor.
possibly one of the most over hyped games of all time
The Amiga version came on 17 Floppy discs.
I almost forgot about this
Wasn't there something about the long lost N64 version of this being found?
Harbinger.
why was this so much better than that anime shit they released as a sequel recently? That one was hallway simulator rather than a cool world with actual dungeons and puzzles to explore
Yep. Even got an official controller, recently. pikointeractive.com
>50 bucks for the controller
>65 bucks for the game
words fail me
and no one will ever know it exists cuz u dont have a title
This is fanmade, right?
>google it
>it's a promotional image from the game's Steam page
I fuckin love this game
>continues to exist
>0 players online
I wonder if we could get enough Yea Forumsirgins to get the game going again for real.
oh shit I played this from a pcgamer demo disc
good times
How’s the multiplayer though??
>The unlockable Pac-Man games
Introduced me to the Pac-Attack beginner's level music.
Froggy takes one step at a time
Give dev stories.
uh anyone?
Dude that games was the shit. Hang out in the sewer all day
>Resurrection died just because S2 was too lazy to fix the bugs
>Savage 2
What a disappointing piece of shit. I fucking LOVED Savage: The Battle for Newerth. It was the fucking greatest.
Then Savage 2 came out and Newerth died, but Savage 2 was a pile of shit so there was no one playing the game I adored and I had to go crawling to fucking Natural Selection 2 to get my fix.
Fucking retarded S2
I will never not be mad
see
Let's start making threads. Let's get anons in.
>doesn't run on 64bit linux
>installation instructions from 2014 rely on a lib32 package that doesn't exist anymore
welp have fun without me lads
Both of the SimCity DS games where amazing.
Speaking of: This and the Wii port where also surpsingly good.
I only played one of the simcity DS games but I remember it being super easy if you just used 4x4 grids of every zone.
