OoT 3DS removed all blood textures in the bottom of the well that were in the original.

This game is going for an especially cute artstyle. Hanging skeletons just doesn't fit that style. Which sucks, because I think the original game pulled it off quite good and wasn't as cute as the remake.

It's an example of how Nintendo is making their games less dark with remakes. And OoT 3DS didn't even go for an overly cutesy artstyle.

Can't imagine them leaving this in under those circumstances.

The same way everything else on Koholint Island got where it is: the Wind Fish dreamed it into existence. The skeletons were never alive to begin with, they didn't exist until the dream began. Like Tim Buckley's child, they were born dead.
