Practice. At least for me. I usually play a hour or two a day of DJMax. It also helps when you have muscle memory of the songs.

That not only applies to rhythm games as well, but loads of things; if you've ever watched a video of a TAS you probably saw a re-record count at the start that can often be 50,000+, as another example.

There would be no satisfaction if people were just naturally good enough to FC the hardest songs, or instantly do PEWGF, or could immediately know how to RG Vergil 3, etc. Part of the fun is improving and overcoming challenges.

You have to be able to map several keys to the same note if you want to be able to clear any songs on high difficulty without tiring yourself out. If you don't use hand switching, you won't be able to clear some of the note clusters easily.

By leveling up does that mean just getting a certain ratings/high score on a song, or is it some kind of shitty grinding? The only other rhythm games I've played are the Runner games and TheatRhythm and I usually redo levels all the time if I feel like I can do a bit better.

Honestly 2D Skeletal animation can look really dam good and it's no surprise that pretty much all mobile games nowadays use it, it does have this kinda artificial look to it since it's easy to notice when it's being used but it avoids the problem of usual 2D animation where detail is intentionally kept low to make animating easier.
Only needing to make a single drawing that can be used for multiple animations allows for much more detailed and stylished art that doesn't need to be simplified just so that it can be properly animated.

You have to gain exp to level up, but it's not especially grindy. Playing all songs on all difficulties (without sucking too bad) should be enough to always have a new song unlocked once you complete the previous one.

Toby Fox, Virt, Darren Korb, there are tons of indie games that came out of fucking nowhere with amazing musicians who's music has been praised nonstop since they came out and continue to knock shit out of the park. If you're going to make a game about music, that music better be amazing or you're wasting any potential it ever had.

How tf are people getting 220k on Yuki no Shizuku for the scoring event? I almost feel like setting a macro for boss mashing would better my score at this point

You need to enable manual fever mode.

I actually found that the Dragon elfin is better in my experience, 30% more score on boss attacks.

Using Joker Buro + Lilith/Dragon Girl, so far those two are really close in points for me, little witch didnt give me that good of a result.
I know it might be my fever placement but I can't see to get a better rotation
