How do I improve performance on windows 10?
Gabriel Foster
William Brown
If you seriously believe there's a major difference in performance between Win7 and Win10 you're beyond help and clinically insane.

Ethan Butler

look up how to deactivate the obnoxious services and also activate the real administrator account if you're not on it yet
Angel Perry
You don't. No one can. Not even engineers at MS.
Kayden Foster
You can't, the programs that are constantly consuming resources run in the background are hooked and even if you turn them off the OS will break
Thank you panjeet spyware, next time don't buy W10
Nathan Bailey
Find the way in cmd, registry and start up to end most of the useless background shit
Colton Miller
Defrag your hard drive if the most recent update is bothering you
Fuck you for making this thread though

>implying win7 doesn't have the same programs
>implying anyone buys win10
>implying poos made win10
>implying you're not a salty ass win7 cuck that is getting his os taken away in less than a year

This the only games you will see any kind of performance difference with is those that support DX12. DX12 is extremely hit or miss though. Some games see performance improvements but others run significantly worse. Thankfully the only games that really force DX12 are 1st party MS store games with pretty much every other games having DX11 support as well to allow them to also run on W7.
Anthony Torres
Fuck off panjeet
Noah Ross
none of what you said is true
every dead weight service you're talking about can be not just deactivated, but physically removed from the computer and the OS still works

What? W10 eats a lot more resources than W7 just to run important services.
Liam Green
Your gaming experience is going to suck no matter what if you PC is so shit that it has trouble running Windows 10.
Just install Lubuntu and use it for internet browsing, or some shit, and build a proper PC.
Wyatt Cox
uninstall all the bloatware and data gathering services by force. You'll end up saving like 2GB of Ram and while that doesn't seem like much because you're running like 16GB of Ram, since so many processes won't be running in the background anymore the OS will be faster, smoother and colder.
Seriously Windows 10 comes with so much useless garbage is not even funny and it's even worse if you're running the Pro or Enterprise versions. Before you could have just installed the LTSB version but to discourage the use of the OS by normal user MS has turned it to shit, so the OS constantly has compatibility issues with software and hardware.
Jose Lopez
It only uses about 2 gigs of ram if you set it up right. Who doesn't have at least 8 gigs these days?
Aiden Russell
is there a guide for uninstalling all this bloatware?
Noah Allen
>LTSB version but to discourage the use of the OS by normal user MS has turned it to shit, so the OS constantly has compatibility issues with software and hardware
source: your ass
LTSB is the most stable version of Win10, it is for places where the system shitting itself after an update (as normal versions of Windows 10 may do) would be catastrophic. It doesn't come with any annoying bloatware I know of, it's pretty good, install this version of LTSC,
Brayden Wood
Aaron Gutierrez
Install a stripped down custom distro of Windows 7.
Christopher Stewart
Only retarded faggots that don't know how to install Windows 7 use Windows 10.
Eli Cooper
there is though. just not the way u think.
w10 has a feature called "game mode" that cannot be disabled globally (at most u can disable dvr on the registry). it forces ur games to run with vsync which adds a fuckton of input lag. idk if it ever tries to use gsync or freesync.
to disable it selectively on each game u need to rightclick its exe > properties > compatibility > tick disable fullscreen optimizations.
hope this helps anons everywhere
Landon Price
Install Gentoo.
Caleb Brown
Please anom if you're trolling say so
Hudson Garcia
You can disable it globally.
