i unironically had fun playing this, even if my time spent was for a tf2 crossover cosmetic

Attached: index.jpg (419x120, 12K)

God, spiral knights was such a good fucking game. I wish they would just shut it down and make a sequel.

This shit was fun, the assasin girl is kino

I still don't understand how this failed, this game was fucking amazing.

something about GDPR apparently

God fuck the gdpr so fucking hard, there were better ways to combat google.

I loved this game so much, do the servers still run?

>it'll never come back

Attached: Arcanists1.jpg (184x184, 11K)

Servers still run but they're pure ass and it's completely dead. Feels like there's a 200ms delay between every action you do. I don't even know why they keep it running when nobody's playing

its still running but the only thing being released are lootbox cosmetics, apparently there are enough whales to keep the servers running

The servers run, it was bought by another studio that "Preserves beloved games in a sort of museum fashion." which is a fancy way of saying that it was bought by some studio that keeps games in maintenance mode to milk the remaining playerbase. The only updates they roll out are loot box events.

Why did you have to make me remember, user?

My most played game on Steam, wish they would make a sequel

Wests babytest into crates, failed abysmally.

god i wish the porn for this took off more than it did

Botw
I was so fucking hype, and then it ended up being one of the worst games ever, I should have just tried to pick up the wiiu version cheap. It especially hurts that people keep fucking pretending it's good and half the time when you criticise it you get accused of being a sonyfag.

Surprisingly fun game, even with a default 200 ping.

beautiful

>tfw 4 of my rarest achievements are from that game

This game was a fun distraction. Played for a while and helped me get my mind off my pet's placenta.

ok sonyfag

I started playing then game when you could get a TF2 hat for completing the tutorial area. Ended up getting all 5* gear and then some

WHYYYYYYY

Same, I think I'm gonna go 100% this game, I only have like 2 achievements left

Attached: file.png (906x233, 53K)

Gee, user, thanks.

>tfw i did this with a friend of mine but got disconnected in T3 so the achievement didn't count

youtube.com/watch?v=1prVJLPIb1A spaghetti spaghetti, you're now sad thx to nostalgy

at least we got some really wholesome porn out of it
exhentai.org/g/865480/7713d91e6d/

Ah that's really a shame, thanks for the answers

damn that sucks, but yeah doing it in group is easier

Attached: react169.jpg (320x238, 22K)

it would work so well as an offline game with online co-op too

Attached: ZTD.jpg (616x353, 76K)

This was a game that truly had soul.

>GDPR
It was dying long before that

Yeah, there was nothing beyond depth 29.

Clonk. Really wish someone would bring back this game. After Terrarias success it would probably find a great audience. I would argue that Clonk is has more mechanical depth than Terraria.

It was an enjoyable game but it was really shitty that you had to pay money in order to play more.

It had those shitty fatigue points that only allows you to play a certain amount of levels kinda turned me off.

this immediately came to mind

They are going to make a new one, right?

Attached: header.jpg (460x215, 38K)

I thought they were? What happened?

This memory just hit me hard.

Same here, my guy. I remember playing split keyboard with my brother. The world needs a new Clonk game.

Last I heard Starbreeze sold some of their assets to Rockstar in order to stay afloat.

>Unbalanced matchmaking often would put a stack of people with 100s of hours against new players
>Long queue times
>No penalty for leavers so noobs left the match after first death
>Slow currency grind
>Endorsements
>Barely any guides on how to play specific characters
>Launcher inside steam
>Slow patching with said launcher
>Doesn't matter really because there were barely any patches to begin with
>Everything could be bought with real money
>Cosmetics were real $ only, except some welfare ones like from tutorial or TF2 promo
>They even added lootboxes after TF2 instead of doing anything to fix the game

There are fan-made arcanists servers online right NOW. Search for the ArcMages discord.

Once you got to t2 you could keep going indefinitely since you'd get enough crowns to buy CE and still have some left over. Was definitely a bit slow getting there, though.

>encounter enemies in area
>stop progressing and finish them off
>rinse and repeat in every section of the stage
I never understood the rarity behind it. It's easy as sin as long as you don't blindly rush like an idiot. Only the graveyard stage 'punishes' this approach with phantoms. Even then, it's only an issue if it spooks you because it does kind of raises the tension. Firestorm Citadel though. Now that was a pain in the ass. I miss it all.

Have looked at several screenshots, I still don't know what you do in this game

From what I saw when playing in groups, a lot of people don't pay any real attention. I almost always found stages way harder to do with a group than alone despite the scaling being very generous.

Fun game but nothing I can immerse myself in properly. Similar story with Dark Spore.

The devs deserve to die after how much they milked it and pretty much ruined the game.
>all that DLC
>retarded difficulty/bullet sponge premise
>all those classes and p2w dlcshit
I mean seriously? Could have made Payday 3 by then and made a heist designer for Steam Workshop, then you just let the community build it for you

You do what you do in any sandbox survival. Whatever you want as long as you are surviving. Clonk rage introduced some pvp elements to this formula as well.

Unironically though if they made this for iOS it would be a huge hit.

I mean the game is style and gameplay is pretty much MADE for the mobile platform

Add to that incrementally fucking up the combat and level design because initial formula didn't have enough space for milking money out of people. The moment they started throwing around endlessly spawning trash monsters it all gone to shit.

Compare the old Jello boss fight to the new one. It's just a mess now.

What was in the Core? I bet it was something stupid

Also is there still an ERP scene?

>zoomers praising a terrible moba shooter hybrid
this was awful and rightfully died quickly

I don't think I remember one thing about the story

Do you think it would be worth getting back into?
Last time I played someone thought I was a hacker because I had a really good sword that I shouldn't have been able to equip or something.

At least in early versions it had pretty clear progression of difficulty. Up to the wolf boss it was more or less a tutorial, then you got the more or less medium part with undead a Jello, and then game was starting to take off the kid gloves and you needed to combine shooting with melee to stay on top, dodge, shield and use all the mechanics.

there was the sanctuary, basically

It's pretty much the exact same game you remember, really. Nobody would say anything like that to you nowdays, I'm sure.

the only shooting required is the Blitz Needle for FireStormCitadel, I went melee only all the time
Shielding is not required but dodging is

I miss those days

This is one of those MMo's that would have been great as a singleplayer offline game.

I don't know what they did but as far as I remember you couldn't get through those missile fuckers without combining dodging with shielding. Though it was a version before the quests and all the bling when the run levels were randomized.

It still hurts.

I remember thinking this actually looked pretty decent, I forgot all about it. I don't know why anyone bothers trying to make F2P games anymore, it's such a bloated market.

It was never good. The idea was decent, you could just see that the guy who came up with it poured a lot of his soul into the game, but then came the money grabbing fuckers and wrecked everything.

Why did you have to remind me, user?
