I don't think you understand how Divine Pulse/Mila's Turnwheel works. You can rewind to any point in the chapter as you feel like, from the end of the chapter all the way to the beginning, but you only get to do that 3 - 7 times (depending on how much renown you give to the 4 Saint Statues in the Monastery). What they suggested is that you move one unit, and then rewind them back until you run out of charges a map. That will burn all your uses for that chapter, so you can't rewind anymore. Keep doing that and you should be fine.

I actually do agree that the Divine Pulse should just be an option you can turn off, like the Classic/Casual mode split. At best, you should just have a once-a-turn undo button that only take backs your last move, if misclicking is such an issue for people. The idea you can undo literally ANY mistake a retarded number of times is just another joke of a mechanic that keeps chipping away at the idea that your failures have consequences and it is up to you to choose how you will deal with them. People that say that restarting the map is not a punishment are the same that would shit blood if the game actually DID made you restart if you lose anyone, like the first 4 chapters of Radiant Dawn. At the very least, it is weird that they keep adding mechanics that make losing an unit on the map less of a deal every game since New Mystery (debatably Shadow Dragon with the replacement system) but never included a proper Ironman Mode. They are even cutting more difficulty modes, like the loss of multiple Hard Modes, Lunatic+, and even Lunatic itself.

Cutting Lunatic is dumb, I didn't have any fun with Echoes mainly due to the lack of difficulty, I went in blindly in hard mode right away and the only challenge I got was the fight with Grima, and I didn't have any classes over tier 2 to begin with and managed just fine
It concerns me that they are removing difficulties, since then it just becomes a very easy borefest, especially when you have the option to grind for gold/exp

The problem is the Awakening format for sure, its just a lazy, shitty way to make a strategy game, "just give access to infinite gold and exp", it removes inventory and unit management entirely, which is also a crutial thing that FE had going for it
Repairing weapons for gold is fine, but if you have infinite gold at your disposal to get, what is the point of durability?

I play both Ironman and with resets, depending on mood.
Unless you play FE at the skill level of a special needs five year old, resetting isn't about being worried about beating the game, it's about growing your skill. It forces you to play better next time. Beating a FE chapter is rarely ever difficult, but beating it perfectly can be another story.
