It was pretty good

What did the Switch version add? I need to know whether to pirate or buy.

Orchestrated music
2D sprite SNES version
Extra content to characterize the party

It's shit
>every character looks the same
>linear as fuck
>combat is boring
>mmo tier quests
>soundtrack consists of about 4 tracks
>random ship encounters
Literally the only redeeming quality is Sylvando

i had fun

So... worth it? Orchestrated OST is big part of why I enjoyed DQVIII.

You could mod orchestrated music on PC since basically Day 1.

Play through it once and forget about it

is it worth doing the post game or should i just play older dragonquest games? The release of a better version on the switch a year later has really soured me on it but i feel i want to give dragonquest more of a shot.

The post game has full proper story to it and true ending behind it so of course you're supposed to do it you nigger

5 > 3 > 8 >>> 4 > 6 >>>> 1 > >>>>>>>>>>>>> 11

This is going to sound bad but I'm on act 2 and I really cba to continue due to the overworld music, I'm so burnt out on it

Good to know. How far reaching is the extra content?

Music changes in Act 3.

Full act worth of content.

It's dragon quest

Fuck that...

One of the best jarpig in recent years

Fuck you.

Best game ever now, since character from this game is in SMASH!!!!

CRIKEY

My first DQ and I loved it.

Great game but if you intend on fully completing the game it drags on a bit. I enjoyed it regardless but some people would no doubt hate that.

It is far too easy if you don't toggle any of the difficulty settings on. Sadly, you can only turn those on before starting your new game. Want to up the difficulty mid run? Tough shit.
