It being cancelled would honestly be the best possible outcome.
Even if there truly are infinite alternate universes, there isn't a single one where this dumpsterfire was fixed.

inb4 brapposting

dat ass

Not without restarting development from scratch

This. Or delayed for 2 years while they completely remake it.

It doesn’t even look that bad of a game
Not having all the Pokémon is fucking scummy, but if they know what’s good for getting mon.... I mean the franchise, they would address it eventually.

An earthquake/tsunami/nuclear accident that forces nintendo to delay it 1 or 2 years.

nah m8 it's doomed

the fuck did paint.net do to me?

anyway Yea Forums is wrong as always

add ALL the pokemon, allow pokemon to follow you in all areas, touch up the textures a little

although if gen 9 is even a little bit lackluster they might as well quick

At this point, there is no saving SWSH. all we can hope for is that Genius Sonority, Spike Chunsoft take over the main series, or Morimoto is given Super Sword and Super Shield. Is Morimoto still at GF?

either put back in the other pokemon, make pokemon home free, or both
anything else is literally holding pokemon hostage

Pokemon will always sell gangbusters with very little effort put into the games so just stop playing them. I’ve made my peace with Sun and Moon, you should to. GameFreak will never, ever release a good Pokemon game again.

This, just fap to the cunny doujins

It would likely have to be in a completely different engine. They put all of their effort into the wrong places. I'm sure a huge chunk of the budget is being spent on voice acting and fully animated cutscenes.

>that book

It's a combination of two memes
The first is
The second is this really weird african comic that draws attention to problems in africa, the one the meme is referencing involves a woman reading a book while ignoring her baby, who is drinking kerosene, thinking that it's water. I wish i knew the sauce cause they can be a fucking trip.

>I'm sure a huge chunk of the budget is being spent on voice acting and fully animated cutscenes.
you mean big pokemon

>Kekstop

This. The game doesn't need a miracle, it just needs time.

Honestly, GF making this choice reeks of executive mismanagement. I think the problems with the game aren't the fault of the actual employees, but rather the higher ups splitting teams from an already rushed 2 year production to do LGPE and Town.
That aside, since they painted themselves into this corner the way they're handling this is probably the best they could do.
We're only 2 trailers into a cycle that will likely give us 2-3 new videos every month showing new pokemon and other shit, as they did the past 2 generations. By exposing their biggest weaknesses here, GF has taken the first napkin. They have the full initiative now to keep releasing new info to whittle away at the mass audience that is upset over this while also getting the autists to scream louder over it, turning the mass audience even further to their side.
While obviously a lot of anons won't be buying the games, the general audience is the focus here and they will either forgive or forget with time and a constant stream of new information on the games.

The truth is, what they have is a pretty standard new Pokemon game, and once they demonstrate that over the next 5 months, the masses will eat it up as always.

They'll probably just rerelease Sword and Shield as SuperSword and SuperShield, or Bow and Arrow or whatever and have that have all the pokemon.
They could rerelease a pokemon game to the switch eshop to save face, Fire Red and Leaf Green? Maybe. Red and Blue? Most likely

Smartest post here. Pokemon has outgrown Game Freak some time ago, people are only now noticing it because the National Dex thing has thrown the whole series under a magnifying glass.
SWSH are a lost cause, there's no saving them. The only hope Gen 9 has at being a good game is for someone other than Game Freak to be at the helm.

that seems like more of a memory problem, based on how game freak has coded things in the past. Judging by what we saw in the trailer (we can see a cutscene with the champion's mouth moving) and "story" emphasis in recent games, I'm willing to bet that fully voice acted cutscenes for the true CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE are what they're going for.

>Genius Sonority
Everyone loves jacking off their "soulful" animations, but I feel like people are forgetting how shit Colosseum, Gale of Darkness and especially BR were.
Like, they were ambitious and had good animations, but the first two had tons of flaws and the latter was just fucking nothing while also being slow and clunky precisely because the animations were so long.
>Spike Chunsoft
Now that I could get behind. They at least have the experience for it.

>Sun & Moon
>Not good
Fuck you, I liked them. Yeah, the cutscenes were a bit long, but overall they're by far the games I remember the most and had the most fun playing in the recent years. Also the first since the original BW where I actually really enjoyed the story. Hated how USUM ruined Lusamine's whole character.

Pokemon would be better if it stayed in 2/2.5D pixel art style.

I feel like I'm the only one who genuinely loves how Sword and Shield are turning out.

>Megas removed
Fuck yes
>Z moves gone
My erection
>Alola cancer gone
*Orgasm noises*
>UI is minimalist perfection
I'm reaching penultimate climax
>Random encounters AND Pokemon actually walking around
Take my money now.
>Gyms are back and treated as a serious sport with full-on stadiums
Fucking finally.
>Polygon count on characters and Pokemon is through the fucking roof, as with most of the terrain minus props like trees
Kino as fuck

This game keeps getting better and better. Not chuffed about dynamaxing (if you want more Digimon shit, go buy the Digimon games, I hear they're good).

I have that book

Attached: 1545915503110.png (500x667, 507K)

you sound like a mindless contrarian

The best thing that could happen to SWSH is underperforming, maybe then they would learn. Not that that would ever happen and, even if it did, I'm sure GF would manage to learn the wrong lessons from it.

Removing megas and z moves would have been great, because megas were so poorly implemented in the first place, but the actual games just look like shit, man. Look at the overworld; the roaming pokemon just show up right in front of you, there's that problem with the animations also showcased with the wingull clip, and then the FUCKING POP IN, see the attached gif. It's probably also going to end up being cutscene hell like sun and moon, and dynamax is going to be almost as bad as megas, since you'll be able to just steamroll the entire game. The difficulty curve has also take a pretty bad hit since the move to the 3DS; I'm not saying the games need to be ballbusters, but at least bother to give most of the trainers more than two Pokemon even at the end of the game. I can't see them deviating from this at all, since Masuda is even more dead-set on catching the mobile audience now than he was with OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire.

>>alolan cancer gone
>removing probably the only interesting concept GF has had in years is a good thing
>>polygon count through the roof
Too bad that means fuckall when the only tangible difference between the 3DS games and Switch games are which fucking shaders and textures they use. Pic related, they're the same damn model.

>>Random encounters AND Pokemon actually walking around
>>Gyms are back and treated as a serious sport with full-on stadiums
these are the only good things
the polycount on pokemon has been this way since XY

Not that user, but honestly it's not THAT bad visually and the thing I'm more interested in is the mechanics of it which look great.
In the demo, there's a moment they're running along and a fucking Galvantula just pops up in front of them. I wasn't going "gee how unrealistic a Galvantula coming out of the ground." My first thought was "holy fuck Galvantula, I want it"
Honestly, the Wild Area reminds me of why I like Pokemon Go, the idea that you can just be wandering around all chill and suddenly see a really cool Pokemon and just go get it.

I mean, they are going to limit that. You can't catch pokemon that are too high level apparently for balance reasons, but even among the smaller mon there seems to be an excellent selection from the trailers.

Battle Revolution 2 or Stadium 3. I'm dead serious.

alternative title for this thread
>Would you?

>I like Pokemon Go
should have made that the first sentence so we could at least stop reading sooner

>it's not THAT bad visually
It's pretty fucking bad. Look how close you have to get to the NPC trainer before he appears. And do I even need to post the tree anymore? Or the steelix? It really is that bad.

>They'll probably just rerelease Sword and Shield as SuperSword and SuperShield, or Bow and Arrow or whatever and have that have all the pokemon.
Masuda already said having Pokemon cut would be a policy going forward.

The draw distance isn't fantastic, but it's not a huge deal. The guy is still a good ways away from the player when he fades in. They also may tweak that later on. Could see it being something they did for the demo so people couldn't see all the shit that was in the Wild Area right away. Or they could just be some performance thing.
Still, I'm not saying it's great or anything, it's just not as bad as people keep making it out to be.

>Or the steelix?
You mean the flying one or the raid battle one?
Cause the raid battle one is still being passed around with misinformation about it with faggots claiming it's some "separate model loading" thing when it's not that at all.
It's a problem with their camera culling script. They turned off rendering of all the other characters besides Arcanine and its Trainer for the Dynamax scene, then they clearly meant to turn everything back on in the black screen fade transition, but something bugged and the game didn't turn Steelix back on until after the Camera finished it's first pan.

That's the kind of shit that is 100% going to be fixed by the time the game comes out. It's the kind of bug on a single script that comes up rarely (problem never happened during the floor demos from what I've heard despite everyone dynamaxing htere) but gets ironed out before going gold.
There's still about 3 months of development time before they'll go gold and start producing the carts, so there's still plenty of time for them to fix small bugs like that.

That "Gotta catch 'em all" slogan is gonna bite them in the ass for as long as they keep rotating the roster.

Meteor strikes gamefreak office and game is cancelled out of respect

Thank you based Deoxys.

Give the Pokemon fans exactly what they want: anthropomorphic cunny Pokemon and their cunny trainers. Once it sells a few million to the core fanbase the zoomer kids will merely follow the trend.

Not the first time they've gotten rid of it.

bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Gotta_catch_'em_all!#Retirement_and_return
>The slogan was temporarily retired from the Pokémon games around 2003, with the release of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Instead of the now-familiar phrase appearing below the Pokémon logo, the game's version name appeared there. This held true for the remaining games of Generation III, and would later prove to be the standard with the release of the Generation IV games, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
>The retirement was possibly due to the large amount of Pokémon now required to capture to complete the National Pokédex, 386 at the time the slogan was retired. It may as well have been due to the incompatibility between the Generation II and Generation III games, as all of the Pokémon known as of the third generation were not available between Ruby and Sapphire, unlike what had been the case with Red and Blue and Gold and Silver.
>The slogan may also have been taken out of use since it was a target of critics of the game and franchise (with some saying the phrase was an equivalent to, "Gotta buy 'em all").
>On September 14, 2013, the phrase was once again used in a trailer that was accidentally leaked on the Pokémon YouTube channel and advertised a new website called "www.gottacatchemall.com." The site now has a new logo for the phrase "Gotta catch 'em all!". The new logo is now used for all videos on The Pokémon Company International's YouTube channel, along with a Pikachu saying "Pika!". The logo was also used in the Pokémon anime's Who's That Pokémon? segment on the XY series.

Holy fuck who made this its fucking kino

Funnily enough, two things i never wanted in a Pokemon game.

If only Gamefreak actually knew how to MANAGE game development, maybe there wouldn't be 900+ monsters with various useless forms to deal with.

>Welcome to the Galar Battle Frontier!

>physical game pre-ordered more in a physical store than games you can get at a variety of online stores

No shit sherlock.

Is there an overall joke about it not having an anus or genitalia or is this meant to be surreal?

Delay the shit out of it and start giving a shit about the products they produce, unlikely as it is

You sound like a mindless sheep that just goes with whatever the corporations tell you to like.

Nostalgiafags, dumb kids, and parents will buy it because it's Pokemon. It'll sell 20 million easily.
Quality-wise, this series has been fucked since the 3DS. They have no reason to put in any effort if it's always guaranteed to be the best-selling game on the entire console.
The National Dex stuff won't hurt the game's sales at all. Most of those people complaining on Twitter will buy it anyway because they can't control themselves.
