does anyone else hating gaming on PC, because if you can't set graphics setting to highest, it feels awful? for some reason, having to reduce graphics settings for stable FPS just feels like fucking crap. it drives me insane. like you're not getting the full experience and you notice the imperfections. on console, you know you're just playing the game made for console and the settings are what the developer intended.

If I can't set it to ultra and get 60fps minimum, I'll buy new hardware.

You don't have the same monitor set up as the developers, so either way you're not getting the game exactly as they intended.

Also they PROBABLY intended the game to run better than it does on consoles and are just doing what they can to make it happen.

I'm usually fine playing on high-medium. I've had a toaster laptop until late 2016 and even then I had to settle with a low-end gaming laptop (I know) until last year. That being said, going from 15fps on ancient ass games to 40fps on low on AAAs was still nice. At this point I can tolerate anything above 20fps and I don't mind frame drops one bit.
I'll keep on upgrading my hardware when I need to since I can now, but I've been so used to subpar conditions that I wouldn't terribly mind going back to them if I had to.

this is some retarded console cope

I'll take a stable framerate over a high but varying one.

yes

completely the same way, makes me really hate gaming in general. its that nagging fact that theres prolly something you can do about it... but your now gonna spend all your time figuring that out...whether its fucking with your graphics card settings...or getting alternate software that might make the game work better... or buying better hardware to throw more power at it...or a better monitor ...or maybe its some weird interaction with your controller... or you got a shitty driver update this time around.... this just keeps going on and on.

I hope this is pasta, and you're just baiting for le ebin (you)votes because if it isn't, you're a tremendous faggot.

its the feeling that you never have it set perfectly, that drives me nuts

Hell no, are you kidding me? I’d take low graphics and 60fps over console and

lol what a faggot

I don't give a shit what the developers intended, a fun game is still fun on the lowest settings and a shit game is still shit on the highest so who cares

No, I don't have crippling autism.

Fuck off. GAMEplay is all that matters in GAMES, so a stable framerate is preferred over muh 4k grafix.
Rant aside, I actually enjoy seeing what games my nearly decade old pc can still play. Textures that look like dog shit have never bothered me.

in open world games, where a big part is the atmosphere and walking around, graphics are honestly pretty important to me. playing skyrim on medium or low settings, for instance, feels a lot worse than ultra. same for witcher. a big part of these games is the presentation and feeling like you're walking around a beautiful world.

I grew up playing RuneScape and ninty products so I personally don't mind graphics so long as I get solid fps and a consistent art style. Had to recently upgrade my CPU tho because I was getting like 15fps on Monster Hunter World

>does anyone else hating gaming on PC
I ought to take your opinion into consideration

Does anyone else feel the exact opposite? I probably need new eyes but I'm playing at 1440 at 144hz and it looks basically the same to me as 720. Textures are better sure but these new resolutions are memes

I'll never understand why this board prefers two small screens over one big screen.

I’m with OP.

Doesn’t help that all the games I want to play on pc are dead. The only popular games are fucking card games or strategy games.

Fucking nerds.

runescape didnt have changable graphic options though. the annoyance for me is knowing they can be better

I play on a modest build at 1080p. my friend just built a higher end pc (newest i7 and 2080) and watching him play games at 1440p is insane on a bad way. it literally looks the exact same when I play those games on my 1080p system.

PC gaming is meme I still regret falling for

At least I know I'm not blind.

i have a 3440x144p 100hz 34 inch monitor and somehow whenever i put the game on the 60 inche 1080p i think it looks way better (like 200% better) there than in my monitor

>the settings are what the developer intended.
They're not though. Devs have to make sacrifices all the time because of hardware.

I usually use the lowest graphics settings available regardless of what my computer can handle. I don't give a shit about graphics, so why put more stress on my PC than I need to?
