I won't apologize, I was really fuckin' excited for this game. I wasn't a fan of the pre-release marketing, but the weeks leading up to it I was pumped and ready to play an Action-Adventure title.
Picked that shit up at midnight from FUCKING GAMESTOP, during an unfortunate and thankfully brief period in my life where I was working graveyard shifts, I.E. I was ready to be up until 12-2pm playing this shit.
I promptly fell asleep at approximately 1am after fucking around in the Castle Town barracks ruins or whatever it was called.
It was pretty much all downhill from there. I started to yawn just at the thought of booting it up, but I felt compelled to finish it all the same.
One of, if not the worst recent memory I have of playing video games, no pun intended.

This was my experience with playing FFVII, I hated that game and just rushed to the ending after a while, and the ending wasn't even pleasant either.

Wearing armor is detrimental as you get hit more often and it messes up your agility so you get ambushed every fight, it is significantly better to go through the entire game naked so you dodge every attack and get preemptive strikes.
Fighting monsters is a chore because if you want better stats or spells it's better to just attack your own party.

As someone who only played the first two chapters of the game immediately after the first one, I'll tell you. Immediately, it doesn't seem so bad. Immediately, it pretty much feels like DMC, handling almost the same way. But then you get to the enemies. You should know how DMC plays, right? Or at least have a vague idea of how it works. Building up a combo and pretty much using everything in your arsenal just to get an S rank fighting mooks. In DMC 2, you get the highest ranks just by spamming the attack button, because the game literally couldn't care less and most enemies are so brittle that you couldn't get a good combo on them anyways. In the first, gunplay was definitely more of a filler for combos when out of devil mode, but in 2, you can infinitely juggle an enemy with a gun and kill him in about 5 seconds because your basic pistols have insane lift per shot. Combine this kind of ass combat with the fact that, instead of segmented arenas, 2 just pads the game with long ass corridors filled with enemies you can easily ignore, and it already seems like a slog.

Kingdom Hearts 3. What a fucking disappointment.

I dropped MediEvil after the first 3 levels because it was bare bones (heh) and boring. Mind you, I played it for the first time last year even though I had a ps when it came out I never got the game.

If you want to play the series just skip it entirely. DMC5’s catchup mentions it almost in a single sentence, that is how embarrasing it is to even Capcom.

The plots are always spread extremely thin and there’s little to keep your interest between each repetitive combat encounter. Strange Journey and Soul Hackers are exactly the same thing.

And you're even more fucked if it's a mission where you have to go somewhere else because now you have to wait to get to the first mission area then run or drive for half an hour in an empty desert with literally nothing in it other than maybe 2 drunk russians and a wolf.

I got a dozen great hours from BotW and liked it a lot but I never felt one bit compelled to finish the game. The story was laughable and the story dungeons were really bland and short so I just did what was fun, i.e. exploration until I ran out of map to explore.

I feel kind of bad hearing how many people just rushed the game and felt it was shit. I think the game direction was probably bad and not suitable for most. Then there are the people who rushed it and still thought it was GOTY or GOAT after experiencing nothing but the blandest, dumbest, half-baked part of it, which I'll never ever fucking understand

I struggled all the way to the final palace and then dropped it, game drags on for way too long. All the reviews on release obviously never finished it.

I unironically 100%ed this game.They artificially extended the length by making you do every level at least 3 times, to get red rings, green numbered rings, and silver moon medals.
