I'm doing my first playthrough of Sengoku right now relatively blind. Just purged the raccoon dogs and now got caught up in Oda's war with the Tenshi sect since he's being a dumbass. I honestly have no idea how I'm supposed to be managing my army and provinces at all though since there's a million things to do and I only get two actions a turn.

one of the satisfaction bonuses is more actions, you can get that multiple times but each time it costs more
So focus on getting those hyperweapon points

Just fuck around, the game holds your hand massively on your first playthrough and almost forces you to not lose as long as you play defensively

Admittedly I've been neglecting Shibata but he seems cool. By far my best footsoldier and it's funny to watch him and Ranmaru get along.

Don't worry so much about the Tenshi Sect. Don't even go to war with them if you can avoid it, there's practically nothing meaningful you can gain by fighting them. They are pretty easy though.

But yeah, Miko Institute gets you a ton of satisfaction points, some really good characters, and a clear shot at Uesugi. Its final battle is a bit tough though.

I played the fan translation for a billion hours but I got stuck in kenshin's route because her level down event happened the turn that I was going to fight masamune. I'm not looking forward to having to replay true history and get my high score again.

I got dragged into the war because I had no idea how to stop Nobunaga from being a dickhead. I had been planning on fighting Iga next except Tenshi declared war on me first.

You can't really stop those events unless you declare war on someone else first. If you have a save from before those events, I'd recommend reloading it and pre-empting the events.

I'd also recommend against fighting Iga. They're kinda hard, and they also don't really give you anything meaningful. Like with Tokugawa, you can't really get Inukai on your first playthrough.

you pretty much can't stop his rampage, first playthrough has a ton of events that'll fuck up any plans you try and make at the worst possible times. just gotta roll with the punches and hope you have enough decent units. which is why i second the miko institute -> uesugi house motion whenever you can, you get some real good units out of it. like Ai.

01, it's not translated though

1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 4.1, 4.2 -> KR (Non canon) -> 5D -> VI -> Sengoku

are all translated

01 and 03 are remakes that replace those entries but they're untranslated

The games are all in order. The remakes supposedly replaced the originals in canon, but as far as I know there are not really any major differences between the remakes and originals

Rance I is kusoge though, I'd recommend watching an LP of it or something rather than playing it
