If you like walls of text like me then yeah, it's the fucking best. If you only want to fight enemies without dialogue get Icewind Dale. If you want 50/50 story/combat get Baldur's Gate.
But if you want 90/10 story/combat and you love reading lore and dialogue then get Planescape:Torment cause it's dope shit bro.

I played through it blind and ended up not being to finish it because I couldn't get past an enemy that resisted all my spells

I agree with what this guy said, it's actually real good, I got super excited about the lore and the characters when playing it, the MC has a fascinating story that you slowly explore throughout the game, there's tons of cool and real imaginative shit
>the lady of pain
>that golem who wants nothing but entropy and helps you with it
>that high society all about experiencing stuff, a lady pays you so she can kill you and experience what murder feels like

It's damn exciting to get into and I wish there was more, I'd love to see a deeper exploration into the exploits of MC, to get to know more of what actually happened and such but alas

This is a non-issue because the gith companion alone is powerful enough to kill anything, let alone Morte

I didn't get to bring friends

pretty easy if you've played fallout 1 and 2. you're going to love this.
some advice:
don't try to make a character build. in this game the main character can be every class.
just max wisdom and charisma
this might sound counter intuitive but just do it

What encounter are you talking about exactly? You're never alone in this game save for a couple moments where you don't have to fight at all (if I remember correctly)

The writing is interesting and the setting is intriguing but it's the type of game in which you can go for like 30~ minutes without actually doing anything interesting with the gameplay.

Dump all your points into INT and WIS for more dialogue options.

So should I go INT and WIS or CHA and WIS?
