Hence the prediciment. Fewer and fewer men and women actually form any sort of lasting bond, instead looking for temporary satisfaction and throw in the towel when they feel like their arrangement no longer suits them. Society as a whole views any sort of commitment as a shackle placed around one's hands, suggesting that the concepts of loyalty and dedication to a cause that may not benefit the individual immediately in all aspects is slavery. We're reaping the fruits of that sentiment now.
Not that it's particularly new or anything. Even the Spanish word for Wife is also the same as the one for Handcuff. It's simply that such line of thought is far more prevalent today as all focus is placed on the individual and not the family or the group.

They're different species. It's almost as if the behavior of one has nothing to do with the behavior of the other. Many birds aren't aggressive, hunting, carnivorous birds. THOSE birds require special training and care in order to not be as dangerous to people. You're forgetting about those birds.
