Nah. Aztec souls is much needed and the whole pre-European Celtic setting is too similar to the medieval stuff they've been doing. Aztec culture also has the most similarities with Dark Souls lore. It's just generally a more untapped source of potential that would be a breath of fresh air in their lineup of games. Just as Sekiro was.

- Open world
- Main gimmick is a western celebrity being involved on it
It will be a Witcher clone, where you spend more time walking / riding through an empty landscape talking to NPCs and triggering the next dialog, with a couple corridors / caves acting as "dungeons" to justify having combat, combat itself being very mediocre.

sekiro has very good combat system and some bosses are one of the best in gaming in general but that's all, and I don't care about customization at all and difficulty was ok, except for normal warriors, they were too easy.

Granted, haven't finished Sekiro yet (I'm at the end of the Fountainhead palace) but I didn't like it very much.
It's an excellent game but it felt simplistic compared to the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne and Nioh (never played Demon's). Probably I'm going to uninstall it and replay it in a few years once I'm done. Meanwhile I do a yearly replay of the above games.

Nah, the locations are all amazing. Ashina Castle, Hirata Estate, Mibu Village, Fountainhead (as you said), and even some parts of Sunken Valley (the Bodhisattva Valley) are all incredibly memorable and tied to the storyline really well. If you know anything about Japanese culture and mythology as well, each area sort of harkens back to some story or fairytale. For example Fountainhead Palace and the journey to it are clearly inspired by Urashima Taro. And other stuff too like Isshin being like Miyamoto Musashi by being a "Sword Saint".
Overall, Sekiro felt like a really finely focused and refined TRUE video game. It had a story, gameplay, soundtrack, characters, and intrigue that was all woven together really well into one really good experience that you can play over and over. I've already replayed the Sekiro campaign three times whereas with other Souls games I tend to go 1.5-2 at best. Sure, it's also due to the length, but that's actually another aspect of what makes it so good. Sometimes games can overstay their welcome.

Once again. Powerful myths are same and constant across cultures that barely or never interacted. Arthurian legend being used across Eurasian cultures speaks of the quality. No videogames have used the legend properly since none of the devs had actual knowledge of the myths, but rather pop knowledge of it. You need to finish Fountainhead because the most awesome parts are coming up. The boss of Fountainhead and the unfolding of the story after that is really fun and memorable. And basically once you beat those you truly master and "understand" the game, and that's when you'll truly love it. You tend to hold back your love for the game when it frustrates you, but once you get it, you'll see Sekiro is truly the best one.

Arthurian legends were only impactful to Catholic and Protestant countries. The Orthodox (Slavic, Balkan, Coptic, etc) all retained their own form of legends and icons as well (Prester John, St. George, etc) that turned into many of the saints celebrated all throughout Christianity. You only think Arthur's so important because of Disney and the Anglosphere you live in.
Sekiro's soundtrack was actually really memorable and unique, whereas ever other Souls game is a blaring generic orchestra that I would not be able to tell apart if you were to present to me. I mean, I have nothing against orchestra. I love classical music. I just think when there's no good melody accompanying it, it's basically white noise.

Dark Souls 3 is the most refined Souls game and is arguably the best Souls game due to some of the technical aspects like graphics and music, but Dark Souls 2 had the better RPG mechanics and that more elusive "atmosphere" factor. Overall DS2/DS3 are the best of the souls franchise.

Demon's Souls was my first game. Then I played Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 one after the other, and Dark Souls 2 was much more memorable and fun to me. I played Dark Souls 3 recently and I liked that one as well, but I still think Dark Souls 2 edges it out. And then there's Sekiro that kills all of them, and Bloodborne that I played on and off at a cousin's place and never finished because I found it derivative of the Souls game and nothing special.
I've just realised that DS3 or DS2 are the best nu-From Software games only for people who don't really like souls games.

I for one loved the Japanese atmosphere. That self-torturing aspect of being honourbound works really well with the difficulty and Souls-like qualities of the game which we're all familiar with, and it's a big part of Japanese culture. I liked the fact that it was all a love letter to their own cultures and it felt like Sekiro was the game they've always wanted to make. It felt so tight and so cohesive, like they've had it in their minds for a looong time.

I played Armored Core. It was ok. The environments were really bland but the mech combat was fun. I never played King's Field but I don't really need to explore everything. They aren't that special of a developer to me. I'm ok with enjoying their Souls type stuff.
This kneeling guy is definitely the worst, not only he looks dull but there is something off about his proportions. The arms were fucking cool, but all the knight-y stuff let me down after that. If the trailer maintained the atmosphere with the blacksmiths and the arms king, it would have been great, but the lance scene and the knights looked very generic.
