It's a combined effort from all nodevs and the PR department from failing studios.
It's almost like CDPR sells there games on anything or something.
It's almost like CDPR co owns a game launcher platform of their own so they have more things to sell their games on.
Yeah that cut is really great huh. How do they afford to- oh
literally no reason to buy it through epic though
want to support cdpr? gog
want to keep your library intact? steam
tim realizes this, and hes upset now
>100% of your money goes to cd project
based
CDPR owns a store and the game launcher is optional.
>pay $18 extra for the privilege of losing your data to Tim Net(tm)
Haha, oh wow.
cd project GROUP
So this is the power of 88/12 split lmao.
Remember boys.
We are sheeps.
We do not matter.
Buy from EGS.
They have the games we want to play.
The developer gets more money.
With more money devs can make more quality games.
Steam is a Monopoly.
/s
So they spend their own bandwidth distributing a game with absolutely no return? The chinks really are flooding them with money
post yfw you are not chinese or a chinese shill
>/s
Go back to r eddit, you piece of shit.
I gotta make sure people take this seriously
/s
I might make the switch just because I'm sick of the bloatware that is Steam now.
The game isn't exclusive to the Epic Store and the game isn't selling well on the platform because of it. Meanwhile it's dominating Steam sales charts.
Epic has nothing to lose if they bad mouth CP2077.
You are basically switching to a Bloatware to another worse Bloatware
(You)
back to r*ddit faggot
thats the plan, throw money at it until it can sustain itself, but it might just never happen and tencent will "consolidate" them
I do not use reddit.
If you don't want bloat you should just buy physical or from GoG which isn't just for old games. Unironically GoG just works, and all the directories are sane and never has weird troubleshooting shit with mods.
Imagine looking like some Chinese bootleg of Stephen King
back to making bad games gaben
kill yourself
remember when Yea Forums shilled fortnite to destroy PUBG?
how did it went for you? lmao
Got any more publishers you want to blackmail? Last I heard, Deep Silver was pretty embarrassed by the performance of Metro Exodus on the Epic Store, so much so that they didn't want to release the actual numbers during a stockholder meeting.
CDRP had already said "we just going to sell our shit everywhere". Steam, GOG, Epic, they dont care. Same shit for VTMB2. Its on all platforms
Also your pic is completely wrong. THE PUBLISHERS get a larger cut. Most developers are on flat rates and dont get anything extra if the game flops or sell a billion copies.
>BUT THE EPIC STORE IS BEHIND THE ATTACKS
How retarded must a person be to believe this? I saw the video but it was filled with such insane "logic" that I struggle to imagine a functional person believing that shit. How do they survive?
I can't belive how easy it is to manipulate you faggots
I guess thats the reason why they are publishing shenmue on epic
>Implying they didn't have that shit bought out months ago
>Shenmue 3 EGS exclusive
Yeah, how's that coming along? Last I heard they were planning something about that after E3 ended
I hope they're not regretting that decision lmao
cope
OH NONONONO
i can buy this on GoG, an actual not chinese botnet kike platform, and cdpr will get 100% of my money anyway. i already have the game pre-ordered on GoG anyway.
>no answer
>buzzword response
lol
You should buy it on gog obviously. But if you don't want it on gog for unknown reason get it on epic to support CDPR more, if you're a faggot get it on steam.
OH NONONONONONONO
>blatantly admitting to being a chink
false flag
TIENAMEN SQUARE 1989 FREEDOM DEMOCRACY WINNIE THE POOH
You can also get the red bundle which has all their games.
One steam card was added to your account. Thank you for your involvement in supporting Gaben fat ass
>pic
it is great that steam has some competition now and I am happy that the devs are making more money.
0.1 social credit points have been added to your score. Congratulations! You have now unlocked higher level schooling for your children!
>Competition
Yeah, with Cyberpunk 2077 and Galaxy 2 around the corner enabling cross-platform play, GOG will really land a big hit against steam
How many more until I qualify to have political dissidents' organs harvested if I need a transplant? BTW Epic is simply the greatest gaming experience ever, completely natural coming from Our Humble Friend named Mr. Xi who is the greatest leader ever!
Yeah, i think it's more profitable to shill for epic then. I can't fund school for my kids with 0,01$ steam card
Yea, it is a bit early to tell but looks like epic is doing alright. steam already lowered their prices for large companies, so it must be working
We will see about how Galaxy will turn out. The other companies can block it if they want.
>p-p-please buy the game on epic games store goy
pathetic
GoG belongs to CDProjekt Group
Exactly, there is no need for such posts. Everyone with a brain is already buying games on epic, you can't argue with retards
I'm sorry, but while your points can get you priority for organ transplants, where they come from needs to be kept strictly confidential. However, due to your praise of glorious leader Xi and his efforts, o.5 social credit points have been added to your score. Keep up the good work!
>bloatware
Except there is nothing on the Epic store, no retarded forums, no shitty mod support. And the best part is I don't have to deal with the thousands of shitty RPG maker games.
I've bought a few from GoG, but it suffers the same problem Steam does with a lot of really shitty games you have to sift through.
At this point Steam cultists are being worse than nonexistent Epic shills.
>epicshill getting desperate CDPR is outperforming his botnet without any exclusives
Absolutely BTFO
I sincerely hope GOG wins and puts you chinks six feet under
>A bit too early
6 months ago EGS launched
>Steam lowered their prices
And that's it. Nothing else.
They won't do anything more than that because EGS is not competing.
>there is absolutely nothing on epic store
so why does it need more disk space than steam and gog you dumbfuck chink?
>team already lowered their prices for large companies, so it must be working
citation and source required xiang
Roblox takes almost 72%
>We do not have X so it's better
Yeah. Have fun on [THIRD PARTY FORUM] and hope they do not ban you for not respecting their guidelines.
This is actually bad for the EGS because it's also coming out on steam. Epic has avoided being put on blast at the worst choice as a platform for the sole reason of poaching games for themselves. Epic will most likely NEVER live down Cyberpunk outselling them on steam and will be a black mark on it until it finally goes the way of GFWL.
>buy from chink store
>drm free game
tell me nigger in what world do you actually live in? execute yourself
>6 months ago EGS launched
I think it at least needs to survive a few years to call it a success. at the moment if it is attracting devs then it is success.
steamcommunity.com
steam lowers their cut once your revenue reaches a threshold
idgaf since I'm never using that piece of shit launcher anyway
>being too retarded to use filter & tags exclusions
Steam is DRM too
Leave it to chinks to not understand regional pricing
A store either has a large selection or it has a limited selection. It doesn't suffer Steam problems because GoG is a curated collection while Steam is a free for all. You do have to sift through the ancient games and the games that were made in Eastern Europe and never heard of until now. But you don't have to sift through a literal trash heap of anything people uploaded.
People think this is about Steam versus Epic but no one remembers how Microsoft has Epic exclusives like Metro Exodus and Outer Worlds on their store and Gamepass. If they outsell Epic on the MS store then it's safe to say that Epic is fucked.
It gets even better in that the game is available DRM-FREE by the makers themselves, so anybody who cares about them can buy it on GoG which, according to epicfag arguments is better than steam in that there is no cut at all and not buying on steam is good competition
There is absolutely no fucking reason to buy this game on that useless chink botnet
>steam lowers their cut once your revenue reaches a threshold
yeah but they planned literally a few days before the EGS went live, it wasn't a direct consequence of EGS's "competition"
theverge.com
>november 30th 2018

>you don't need reviews because you can get those elsewhere
>you don't need forums because you can get those elsewhere

???
That's the base price, the tax is added on top sicne it varies depending on the country and payment method.
Already use filters and tags. Doesn't change anything when the game isn't tagged. Which is the majority of these shitty RPG maker games and chinese games that flood the market place. You can't even use "new releases" anymore because of it.
In the last 2 days 87 games have hit the Steam new releases. It's gotten to the point it might as well be NewGrounds.
Epic Store is not making any profit off of game sales. They have more to gain by sinking GoG than they would ever get from reselling Cyberpunk 2077 licenses.
epic store cuts announced before the store is actually open.
>at the moment if it is attracting devs then it is success
Lol sure it is
That was announced on December 1. Epic store was only announced a few days later.
unrealengine.com
Steam's revenue changes were a reaction to Bethesda and Activision leaving, not Epic.
>steamcommunity.com
>when a game makes over $10 million on Steam, the revenue share for that application will adjust to 75%/25% on earnings beyond $10M. At $50 million, the revenue share will adjust to 80%/20% on earnings beyond $50M.
is nothing even remotely to what you are shilling in here. That has nothing to do with how large your company. It has to do with how many copy sales you make on Steam. You don't make any sales you won't get any cuts. So you are wrong Xiang.
Valve hasn't and never will do anything to appeal Epic's sheep delusions. It's a private company that knows the market. Epic shills goal is to take their place at all costs since 12% cut is not sustainable.
>cope replies
>you d-didnt answer me
are you retarded ?
What's gonna be weird is the fact that the steam version might even outsell the gig version.
>you don't need reviews because you can get those elsewhere
>you don't need forums because you can get those elsewhere
This is true though. when your review & store is at same place you can pull all kind of shit. Steam recently added means of detecting & preventing review bombing for example
yes, and they announced it on december 4th, unless of course you can provide a source on an earlier date
>Epic store attacks cyberpunk 2077
lolwut what the fuck did I miss
So why do you need steam to tell you what games to buy?
I checked prices in 4 regions in europe. They are all the same on gog/epic and steam in each country. But you know what, let's have fun. in which country EGS price is higher? I'm going to check it out personally and post results.
Yeah, gog with thier 0,2% market share is such a big threat. What's next epic? itch.io?
Time and your money is running out timmy boy.
Hmm, I guess I am mistaken. My bad
>12% cut is not sustainable
citation needed. valve takes 30% cut because it has monopoly and it is able to. not because it actually costs that money to publish a game. what is the point of setting your cut 12% if it is not going to profit you?
Didn't TW3 on GOG outsell Steam by 3 to 1 or something?
>steam version outsells the gog version
>weird
not really, no. Steam is widely popular and has a loyal fanbase for itself. Reach like that can greatly bolster game sales, something no other store can brag about
Also, even if that happens, GOG can just spin a narrative of its own to try guilt-trip customers to buying the game there instead of steam
Poor EGS has no part in that conversation though
[doubt]
You're full of shit. RPGMaker have it's own tag.
The Epic Game Store is already a money pit kept afloat only by Tencent's venture capital. If Fortnite falls out of relevance it's going to be bad news for Epic. The only reason the Epic Game Store scam worked in the first place was because of all the zoomers who were using Epic's launcher, but that clearly wasn't enough or else they wouldn't be moneyhatting all these exclusives.
No, it was pretty much even.
you largely underestimate the popularity of Steam, the platform is, in fact, so popular that even japanese developers and indie japanese devs can reach a large audience just by putting their games on Steam
The steam version is also going to be DRM free just like The Witcher games.
>>a company gives more money to devs. the people literally makes the game you enjoy
>HURR DURR WHY DEVS ARE GOING FOR IT
Why is the reason for epic hate? is it just fanboyism?
Guess I'm too dumb, but why is it that much more expensive on the epic store? I tough they only charge you extra for the checkout if you're non-US and use a credit card or something like that.
>devs are making more money.
publishers*
>The Epic Game Store is already a money pit kept afloat only by Tencent's venture capital. If Fortnite falls out of relevance it's going to be bad news for Epic
hasn't Epic Games managed to barely stay afloat in the market for the last few years? how popular were their games before Fortnite BR?

How long have you been on steam? Tags are marked by people, not the dev/distro group. Meaning if someone doesn't personally add the tags, It won't be listed on the fucking game.
>indie japanese devs can reach a large audience just by putting their games on Steam
not really, you need to be a really lucky, have a a good game and have some publishing to make yourself visible on steam.
>citation needed
I could but first show me one company with 12% cut survived in the gaming industry. Exactly.
>valve takes 30% cut because it has monopoly and it is able to
Steam is not a monopoly, there are plenty other stores. Steam has the biggest userbase.
>what is the point of setting your cut 12% if it is not going to profit you?
To shift users from X to Y you stupid fuck. Why am I even replying to you. You shills are so incompetent.
Can you both please have a proper argument.
tim will just buy his shares back based retard, he is a billionaire now :)
>a company giving more money to publishers while working devs to half-death
>hated by people because they need to buy their games from a shitty botnet with non-existent security
>account gets locked for making too many purchases during a sale because no shopping cart
Gee i wonder why
Anything to support your idea of publishers taking full amount of 18% epic is not taking?
>thinks valve has security
I have a game on steam, I can just send another executable, press a button and it would be live on all machines around the world.
I dont get it, whats so bad about epic? Devs get more and you even pay less. Where is the fucking problem?
>Steam already lowered their prices for large companies, so it must be working
Steam lowered their price because large companies were creating their own launchers and working to move away from Steam, not Epic.
Where are the numbers Sergey?
M O D S
i hope epic fucking dies
Do you know how publishing works? You only have to look at how disgruntled 4A and Obsidian were anyway, since the decision to go exclusive was made by Deep Silver and Private Divison without their input.
>hated by people because they need to buy their games from a shitty botnet with non-existent security
uuuuh, sweetie, for your information the Epic Games Store© now has a two factor authentication! that's right, your account is now TOTALLY SECURE, that means you can put aside your unjustified sinophobia
Steam is undefeatable when it comes to sucking at security.
pcgamer.com
They always had money thanks to their engine licensing. Not in the magnitude that Fortnite makes them, but enough to stay afloat. UE3 was pretty mucht he most used one last gen, don't know how popular UE4 is tough.
Strange that doesn't happen with the 30,000+ games on steam.

But i think you may be talking about other breach, there was a few.

I doubt any large company would give a publisher that much authority over their game. It is probably the publisher taking the fall and becoming the evil company(tm) so the game would sell better.
>Anything to support your idea of publishers taking full amount of 18% epic is not taking?
Anything to support your idea of developers taking full amount of 18% epic is not taking?
>T-tim said..
Yeah.
And as regarding publishers giving devs a bigger cut since they're making more money on that split..
tranny screeching (epic hates trannies, steam sucks trannie dick)
>asks for proof

>no that doesnt count!
butthurt much? Also
>publisher taking the fall
>being this fucking stupid
>I doubt any large company would give a publisher that much authority over their game.
Are you a sandnigger?
>Devs get more
let's function logically here: if you have a game developed by a company and the publisher funds the game, advertises it and releases it, who will get the revenue first after Epic takes its cut, according to you?
>publisher pays money for development
>no they totally don't have any power over the developer
thats like saying EA isn't evil
>Anything to support your idea of developers taking full amount of 18% epic is not taking?
I never claimed that. Both publisher & devs are making more money.
>thinking any money goes to the developers
Go outside , get a job and stop being a Chink shills
your proof proves jackshit though.
>publisher taking the fall
>being this fucking stupid
why? a publisher's job is to make game sell.
yeah, as we all know those developers at Activision and EA are doing great with 100% revenue take on their PC platforms
>steam already lowered their prices for large companies, so it must be working
The cut has always been negotiable, especially for large companies because their games are guaranteed to break a million sales.
only the publisher is making any amount cash
devs don't see a dime from switching stores
>>no they totally don't have any power over the developer
why people here always skews the words in their answers? I never said they have zero power. I said they don't have absolute power, especially if you are a large company. I doubt that a publisher can just make your exclusive, I don't think any company would give that much power to their publishers
And publishers don't always pay for development, sometimes they just advertise your game
>Why Valve takes 30% everywhere I do not know
You do, it's for the added features like Workshop, steam servers, forums, communitties but most improtantly, so they can take the payment fees themselves and keep the prices the same everywhere they can.
Valve may be jewish but at least I can see where the money went and it's a better product than the one you offer for the consumer.
>a publisher's job is to make game sell
>chink intelligence on overtime
>chink english starts showing through
why are chinks using Reaganomics now? what timeline is this?
There's also free key generation which valve makes nothing off of.
>Ebinshills face when
No one likes to mention that whena game is sold on something like GMG or something like that, Steam makes nothing and you are just utilizing their bandwidth. All the while they support a different storefront at their expense
>They have the games we want to play.
the dont.
>The developer gets more money.
no, the publisher does.
>With more money devs can make more quality games.
hypothetically, but they wont.
>Steam is a Monopoly.
if it were, epic would never have opened.
>Buy from EGS.
tim sweeney is oligopolistic cunt, so why would I if there is no benefit to myself?
Yup, every AAA company on steam have their own cut. Valve doesn't really care about small dev teams, most of their revenue is from big titles.
citation needed
>If they outsell Epic on the MS store then it's safe to say that Epic is fucked.
Epic inflates sales numbers by including copies that Epic buys for the sale guarantee clause of the exclusivity contracts. If a game sells 201,024 copies, then it's safe to say that only 1,024 copies were true sales.
Yea, if a dev is selling steam keys on their own store, go for it onstead. 100% of money will go to the dev
yeah, maybe that is because deep silver knows a lot more about the game that impressed nobody with what they have shown so far, and money up front seems better than relying on sales?
>replying seriously to a baitpost
I cant tell if you're baiting or are seriously this retarded
They are not doing that out of their good will. By doing that they can avoid anti-trust law while keeping people on their platform and additionaly they have full control over the supply of keys.
It something to do with tariffs or taxes in different countries.
Steam and GoG have them sorted while Epic pushed it onto the end user
I guess he's just dumb.

Why do steamdrones always make up lies? see
Source:dude trust me, reddit told me so it's the truth. It must be, they can't be doing good

>not using Gog whenever you can
What's the point of this thread?
all of Latin America for one
They are NATURAL monopoly thought
>LEADING DIGITAL PLATOFORM
Do you think console plebs buy from PSN or whatever Xbox has?
It was natural that EGS would have been the "leading" digital platform if no one on console buys from their digital store.
the picture is bait, epic & gog prices are same
I've heard this more than once recently
Why do people think egs is behind the attacks?
Steam is the symbol of the modern neutered gamer.

what attacks? I missed that
>By doing that they can avoid anti-trust law while keeping people on their platform and additionaly they have full control over the supply of keys
>they have full control over the supply of keys
I'd like to call bullshit on this, I once got an indie game for free because I had one of the developers in my friend list and he asked me if I wanted a free copy of his game, apparently he used a key generation system made for journalists
Don't try to ask me for the name of the game, I'm not saying it, it's not even popular
some video giving false equivalencies by saying that these investors in Epic also invest in Kotaku, Polygon, etc all the while GOG is introducing Galaxy 2.0 which is the solution to a problem companies like Epic are causing. It's a great theory but everyone and their mother is invested in Epic after Fortnite
Steam actually encourages DLCs with their new price strategy
>They have the games we want to play.
Can't find System Shock 2 on the EGS, where is it user?
GOG and Steam have it.
epic has done such a great job in making sure i will never use any of their services
ever
its amazing on how they became more hated than EA
He's right though. Devs will decide. Devs have decided that nVidia is a better platform to develop on and since EPIC/Nvidia subsidize each other's platform, they make money off of teaming up to take down Steam and AMD.
>they have full control over the supply of keys
They do, they can reject it any time. They don't though, since any steam key = more steam members and more users. you are free to sell your game keys as long as you are not underselling steam
Do you really expect me to believe that a Factorio clone was bought by over 500,000 different people on the Epic Store?
>meanwhile in reality any dev can create as many keys as he wants and distribute them
Why do you cunts always, every single fucking time, resort to lie. And in such an utterly obvious manner at that.

>If I change the perception of reality I am right
Nice boat.
Until consumers decide to buy games based on game engine (unlikely as all of you consumers are retarded niggers), devs will decide who gets the final say. You can continue to believe in your delusion and keep up that "boycott COD" game, but reality is, kids are retards and they'll be lead around the bush by a black dick in their mouth/ass.
Okay so in brazil, cyberpunk on epic is 52$ and on steam it's 200 of BRL which is 52$ as well.
alright, an invalid. thanks for clarifying
I can just stop supporting game devs and publishers for what I know
It's always the same with these Epic shills
>muh revenue split
>muh starving devs
>muh Steam monopoly
>much Steam bloat
Everytime they are presented with argument and evidence they'll play blind and change the topic to something else just like Sweeney.
They don't even game on PC. They're Fortnite consoleniggers and Epic fanboys trying to protect their beloved publisher.
Epic bros have shit ton of arguments. We are here to save gaming industry from greedy gaben.
Meanwhile steam drones

Remind me how your boycott COD went? Oh right.
LMAO
what, were you expecting chink drones living under a commie regime to have thoughts of their own?
Right on cue
tell menwhy epic is better than Gog, insect. maybe then I'll take you seriously
Epic is not better than GoG. Anything is better than steam.
>it's okay if Epic want to aggressively monopolise the industry and turn PC gaming into another console as long as we show those steam shills!
Yeah, how many units did exodus sell? And how many units of satisfactory were bought by EGS?
your only argument is coping tranny

Epic isn't better, it's the hot new thing because of how the internet hype machine works but there are already other store if people wanted a Steam alternative.
Kill yourself fag
Steam drones be like

Since there are so many publisher experts here, can someone tell me how publisher work? Do they get a percentage of sales? A flat money? How things are different if they also pay for the development?
Anything other than a ratio cut doesn't really make sense to in this world of huge discounts. And in that case why Epic having lesser cuts is not a good thing for devs?
>We are here to save gaming industry from greedy gaben
kek
>STEAM BAD because platform monopoly

That's the best you can do? Shouldn't you be on steam forums anyway?
seeEpicshills be like

>Yeah EGS paid them a fat sum of money and assured sales for a period of exclusivity!
>see? The devs are getting money! Surely it isnt because EGS bought those games to pad out numbers, no no!
>EGS INVESTED in them, and didnt buy any games by itself to fake sales numbers! They would never do something like that!
>EGS helps game developers thrive and promises them sales! These sales come from you, not egs!
>be a dev
>steam cuts 30%
>publisher also cuts probably around that much after the steam cut.
>release game on epic for a hope of making more money
>demonized for it
steam fanboys are disgusting. easily beats up any other fanboy I see
When a game is sold by a publisher, the publisher owns that product. The game is being sold by them, while developers are employees of that company or contracted. They are paid on salary generally to create a product for the publisher to sell. The publisher receives 100% of the sales revenue, how they distribute it is up to them. This really, really isn't that hard to understand
so you have nothing against me hating epic for its scummy practices that keep games from coming to gog? you are a TERRIBLE shill
see
Why not release on discord or itch.io? Nobody minds them and they have a higher cut.
why should I care about numbers and how much corporations win?
How did he ended up being a chink slave?
people usually do. but neither has the potential epic offers
I can't argue with your retardation. Epic exclusivity does not allow games to be on steam for a certain period of time, not on gog.If game x is not on GoG you can blame only publisher/devs, not epic.
>potential
Is that what they're calling bribes these days
you mean Gaben ? money
>publish your game on one digital platform
>"It's the leading digital platform."
OH NO NO NO NO
I fully believe an underage child drew that pic.
>When a game is sold by a publisher, the publisher owns that product. The game is being sold by them, while developers are employees of that company or contracted
or you can also be paid by royalties. not all devs sell their product to publishers. that would be stupid for many big game devs out there.
>If game x is not on GoG you can blame only publisher/devs, not epic
Why the fuck not? You epicshills blame steam for steam exclusive games even though the publisher can release the game elsewhere but dont do so. How is this any different? WHy cant I blame epic for epic exclusive games not being available on gog? or anywhere else for that matter? Especially when epic pays publishers to sell their games on its platform EXCLUSIVELY?
Epic offers exclusives for some popular titles on their platform, which will surely attract some amount of players. not to mention all free games they offer.
>bribe
lol, grow up
You can't be that fucking new, i refuse to belive that. In any case, reddit is that wa ->
Sometimes both, hence "how it's distributed is up to them". Just because the IP isnt owned by the publisher doesn't mean the product isn't. Sometimes that's temporary or as per the contract will be relinquished to the developer after departure (like Bungie & Activision). I guarantee you, in almost every possible circumstance, the publisher is the one with the bargaining chip, not the developer
Talking about overheating, lol
too bad epic offers nothing to convince those players to stay on epic
>those are not bribes!
yeah, those are investments, right shill? And those guarenteed sales paid for by epic are totally not a bribe, right?
Tough shit pussy
I'm not a dev so I don't care how much devs get, I'm paying for a game and if the game is trash because the platform it uses is trash I'm not going to buy it. If devs keep getting cocky like this I'm gonna start pirating and seeding their games, so instead of getting less money they get no money.
>still replying to 6 months old bait threads
you guys are better than this
>has no arguments left
ah, the true nature of an epicshill reveals itself! what will your next post be, i wonder?
>cope!
>steamshill!
>seething!
buddy, I'm going to spend the weekend watching anime and playing video games, you think I'm better than anyone?
>"STEAM IS A MONOPOLY"
>except for Origin, except for B.net, except for Uplay, except for the fucking Windows Store except for the literal dozens of shitty little indie release stores that have virtually no presence
>"THOSE DON'T COUNT! NOW GIVE ME A COMPLETE MONOPOLY OVER VIDEO GAMES REEEEEEEEEE"
if games are exclusive to Epic then i'll just steal them. Like the chinks have stolen every single IP they've ever gotten their paws on. chinese bugmen expect me to pay them now too? nuke beijing and nuke winnie the pooh. remove commies.
>publisher
>releasing on steam
my fucking sides
i remember when publishers actually did something instead of just being given retards money
>buying anywhere but from gog
Thanks for killing video games, assholes.
No no user, those aren't legitimate competitors to steam. They aren't legitimate because they aren't trying to make the industry worse as a whole.
You are not arguing with me, in fact i have no idea what your problem is. You do realize it's not your favorite subreddit, right?
They do though. They pay the development costs, sometimes work with you to bring your game to other platforms, give you quality assurance feedback. and market visibility. They don't just take the executable from you and hit publish button on steam
All of those things you can do on your own.
I bet you're paying for black hole insurance right fucking now.
>you're not arguing with me!
>I have no idea what your problem is!
Let me put it in one line, so your simple program
can make sense of it.
If steam is a monopoly, and I should use another service to avoid supporting the oppressive monopoly, why the fuck should I buy off EGS store which is an inferior botnet with no features and no security, when I could buy drm-free games off gog which is better than epic in every conceivable way? And why should I not hate egs for taking games away from this superior alternative and giving me no choice but to pirate to play the games I want so that I dont get my email and card info hacked by some chink elsewhere?
>All of those things you can do on your own.
Except you can't. You can't produce money out of thin air to support yourself. Most devs are not experienced enough to publish their games on different platforms. Having a QA team is not affordable by small indie companies. And don't have any experience with marketing at all.
Ah so the regular steam drone. Just read the thread and don't waste my time
>implying anyone QA's games anymore
>implying that dev teams dont make money
>implying advertising isnt free on Yea Forums
>implying devs even fucking release on multiple platforms
You're the kind of person that hires a decorator to paint a door because you can't aren't you? You don't even try you just assume you're a fucking failure and they're gods.
>it's weekend
>there's at least one chinkoid thread with 200+ replies and it is not s*ged & r*ported to deletion state
Like a fucking clockwork.
Most game devs are retarded on every aspect other than game developments.
Hence they need help in terms of resources(money, network) and marketing.
A game without a publisher and marketing can be a top sellers on Steam but it's pretty rare unless your game is unique and offers something new.
>has absolutely no argument
>gets totally btfo
>steamdrone! when my main concern has nothing to do with steam
I totally called it
get fucked, epicshill. GOG galaxy 2 and xbox gamepass will utterly destroy your botnet
Tell me why people hire publishers then?
I can’t wait to put this game in my EGS shopping cart!
Most game devs are not even good at developing games. Publishers ensure a better project development and things are on track. Take Taleworld & bannerlord for example. Game is in development for like last 5-6 years since they left their publisher
>BUT THE EPIC STORE IS BEHIND THE ATTACKS OF CYBERPUNK 2077 BECAUSE THEY DONT SELL I IN EPIC STORE
Nobody said that, retard. They said that Cyberpunk is under attack by trannies looking for attention.
only game i am excite for
hooktube.com
>added features like
The real features I support on Steam they've ignored for the last several years. They support SDL and used do the DevDays.
What happened to that?
>Nobody said that, retard
does the epic store have a shopping cart finally?
You're basically screaming like a retard that epic does not pay devs to publish games on GoG. What do you want me to say you fucking faggot?
>screaming like a retard
lol the projection
>what do you want me to say
when will your botnet have a shopping cart?
Epic pays publishers to not put their games elsewhere, including gog. Why should I not be pissed?
Why do you shill for egs when gog is better in every way?
>Epic pays publishers to not put their games elsewhere, including gog. Why should I not be pissed?
I already told you it's not true, they paid them to not publish on steam. It was 20 minutes ago, are you actually retarted?
>Why do you shill for egs when gog is better in every way?
Yes, i am shilling. I must be, how else i could not suck gaben dick.
I'm not going to bother with (you) any longer.
very convenient how phoenix point had both steam and gog keys, after epic's deal, both options were removed in favor of egs for a year
It's also convenient he stopped giving (you)s when proven wrong.
Steam drones got BTFO
>the chink's horrible english starts slipping out
epicshill absolutely btfo
>467554235
>steam shills btfo!
>posting right after epicshill got btfo by a gog fan
cope: the post
steam faggots getting btfo so they are back crying about muh shopping cart
OH NO NO NO NO
How many months are they behind on their roadmap now? I'd be getting worried if I was stupid enough to preorder memelands on it since everyone was saying the store would be in a much better state when it released
People who buy games period are cucks, cuck.
Engine licensing is a good stable source of income but it doesn't make as much as many would think. Look at how many games used Renderware, and where is Criterion Games now?
>muh-nopoly
See Epic is trying to become the monopoly that you trannies are always (falsely) accusing Steam of being. Being the most popular =/= monopoly. Deliberately restricting the supply of a product or service to your own platform is a monopoly.
>>Steam only refunds store credits in the fist few hours
???? my refunds go right back into my bank account
