It's not even that hard until you have to do the Dream versions of bosses. The Radiance is also the only other legitimately hard boss fight.

Besides Godhome there really isn't that much challenging content, and Godhome only challenging because you have to marathon it.

The "reclaim your soul after death" mechanic was dumb though. Felt a little too hard like it that was trying to mimic dark souls.

I ran into multiple "optional" bosses on my playthrough that i had to come back to later when i had stronger gear. I like that kind of stuff.

It is probably one of the hardest games I've ever played, outside of autistic shit like SHMUPs, and games just made specifically to fuck you like IWBTG.

It is easily one of my top 5 games of all time and it's only $15 at full price.

The game has real challenge if you seek it, or stumble upon it before you're ready. In terms of what you have to accomplish to see end credits, you won't need to do anything harder than Watcher Knights unless you quit before that because you can't deal with having to find an upgrade to progress in some areas.
