Well streamers will be the rulers of said server, people will give them gold / items / materials and everything they want / need for free and if they dont like you or anybody else, they will tell everybody on the server to put you into the ignore list and pretty much killing you from playing the game

There are EU streamers and blizzard said that there wont be any specific servers located in every country in the EU like before (beside russia) so insted we are getting a few eu severs that are shared with all the EU countries, so the odd of not being on a server with a streamer are low.

After dealing with two private server shutdowns I can't not give this the best chance possible. People have been doom posting against vanilla WoW for literally a decade so it's hard to take all of it seriously even if I am concerned about streamers ruining the community.

It's a form of sharding, basically it's to stop low level zones being crowded during the release of the game, just phases people in and out.

Have you never played during a private server release? When Nost first went out it didn't have any dynamic spawns and it was almost unplayable. Layers obviously bring problems but there is a reason most private servers these days have dynamic respawn systems (and Blizzard specifically said they weren't going to use that because it also causes problems when people are deep in caves and enemies spawn nearly instantly because they're being farmed heavily outside of it for example).

It's still going to be really crowded. If I remember correctly, they are also raising max server populations compared to vanilla. This means they are probably going to end up at a pretty healthy level a couple months in. Without layering this would lead to starting zones that are many times more crowded than what originally happened and literally make them unplayable instead of just crowded.
