there's also the fact that BW maps are more congested and we're way way further into the map making metagame in BW

the maps are definitely designed differently, sc2 maps are more like an apple pie lattice of criscrossing alleys connected by ramps. But even on small 2 player maps the other bases are rarely taken.

protoss mid game immortal timing is the best timing in the game right now, only it is not even an all in because you can still macro behind it even though you don't have to because even on pro level it ends games even when the zerg knows it's coming. No, I saw Dark being the only zerg reacting to the meta-shift playing more aggressively and not being content just afk macroing while letting protoss do what ever they want.

Dark was the best player of the tournament partly because he was using zerg to its full potential and not just relying on the superior macro potential
