With how schools analyze old books and art today, do you think sometime in the future schools will be analyzing vidya?

No
Dumb phone poster.
Gamers... I think it's time to rise
already happening
Study, yes, but analyze in any worthwhile way, no. Games have too many variables and have a fuckton of people working on them.
apart from wondering why people thought games were responsible for political violence and laughing at all the retards who censor media, no.
Yes.
Some schools already do.
In a hundred years, when everyone alive has probably played some vidya, just like everyone now has probably seen some movies, it will be thought of more highly.
This doesn't just mean pretentious artsy shit, though.
no because video games aren't art
Right. Because we’ve never analyzed anything too big like entire societies, cultures, or sociological instances.
video games don't really carry ideas all that effectively, so not in the same way as old books. Maybe in a similar way as visual art or movies.
Board games or tabletop RPG's aren't analyzed in depth, why would vidya?
I think that the impact Vidya had on society will be discussed, but that's about it.
They should be already, it's more relevant to current events and ideology's.
I was as a younger man what I'd consider now to be a pseudo intellectual, so I've forced myself to read and talk about shitty books like 1984, catch 22, the art of war ect in an attempt to seem cultured, while many video games I've played have just as good writing while the game play it's self makes the experience far more immersive.
>that haircut
>that uniform
It's from Thailand isn't it
Yes, they'll teach you abou Tetris, Doom, Pokemon and then two or three important titles of the 21st century that haven't been made yet.
Plain white collared t is the senior uniform for many countries.
Schools already do
We analyze movies don't we?
games are as shallow as a puddle there's nothing to analyze
but the guy is playing in a cybercafe and these places are rampant in south asian and the whole oceania.
