It was okay for what it was, depends on whether you can tolerate Ash going full 24/7 retard and the focus on gore/grossout comedy over horror. Some people find Pablo and other bitch annoying too.

even as someone that's been an Evil Dead fanboy for 20 years I didn't even bother finishing it. 2 seasons was more than enough for me.

Now that's a game premise worth playing

Well canonically Ash is supposed to be the absolute best at killing monsters and fighting evil, he's just a clumsy dickhead at the same time
I could see him surviving and doing pretty well, but he'd fuck up HARD along the way and get anyone around him killed too

I always thought that'd be a great premise for a Telltale game: a bunch of scenarios with Ash and a neverending supply of eventual victim sidekicks, where your choices weren't based on morality or attitude but just Ash's constant dumbfuck ideas.

Ash is full on Flanderized in the tv show but every now and then he has a good joke. The action is strong for what they want. It starts well with Raimi at the helm for two episodes and then after that they try their hardest to ape is style until giving up by season 2. The writing can hang until season 3 where it becomes a huge mess. Kelly sucks. Ruby is terrible. Pablo is good.

First 2 seasons are enjoyable, season 3 was more of the same shit as the last 2 seasons except ash has a daughter

TTG literally would never have done an AoD game. They squandered talent and money to make a Minecraft, Game of Thrones, and a Batman game, and these are literally some of the most expensive intellectually properties of our time. If they didnt run themselves into the ground maybe TTG could have made a great AoD game.
