>no /vg/ thread
>thread attemtps on Yea Forums devolve into shitposting about how bad it was
Why is this game already forgotten when it was unironically one of the most kino experiences of the decade?
No /vg/ thread
fags ruined the threads
This game was trash though
Because of faggots like you using >kino to describe literally anything you find good
Well man it's a single player game, after you're done with the campaign and maybe harder difficulties, and discuss what you want to you just move on. No reason to have a thread up 24/7
we can wait for the mango translation
>implying other, crappier games with less content haven't made time active communities/threads for years
It also had its first sale recently, so plenty of new players to have discussions with.
I had fun with it, but the more I played the more underwhelming it felt. Shitty level design, shitty story, no distortion, enemy design. It's not nearly as good as some make it out to be.
last 2/3 of the game had the exact same garbage setting that was done better and w/ more variety in bayo 2
I'm not saying it should be forgotten, dmc threads every once in a while are fun. I'm also not approving of those tons of garbage /vg/ threads with a thousand editions that only attract degenerates.
ITT: Overrated shit thread?
Finna dig into mission 8 on HAH. Any tips?
>level design
I always see this critique pop up. Was DMC known for intricate level design int he past because I sure has hell don't remember anything fun about the games that wasn't the combat. Not platforming or exploring.
Fair enough. Wish I could get one going now that I'm balls deep into it. I've s-ranked everything except HaH. Currently on Mission 9 and dreading 18 (and maybe 10 because everyone says it's hard).
>dmc threads every once in a while are fun
Yeah this, you fags got use to the everyday thread thing but its better to have threads and proper discussion once in awhile. Also bumping threads all the while not contributing anything is dumb.
What is there to talk about, spam same memes all over again? post e3 was fun, but let go already.
Those who liked - liked, those who didn't - didn't.
Do you need to validate your purchase or something
It's a mostly single player game. It was good. Not much else to say this far in.
Nico looked like she had familiars on her body on the right.
>frequent threads quickly devolve into circlejerk and husbandoposting
>anons reeeeing to stop making threads and to stop discussing literally nothing
>wtf y no threads
decide fagets you can't have both
FUCK that mission! I spent a whole day grinding it for S-rank. In fairness, i was trying to brute force it instead of learning how the Style system worked. They way I finally managed it (even with one Continue):
>bring 8 Ragtimes
>spam the shit out of their burst in every fight
>refill them at the Div Statue and Nico
>ignore all unnecessary encounters
The two exceptions are the falling platform encounters. (You can skip them if you can manage a No Continue run.) Jump on them, spam Rag Time, build your Style to SSS, then let them fall. At the bottom, more Rag Time and maintain that SSS. If done twice, this should boost your points to over 5500 before you reach Urizen, thus letting you take a hit during his annoying ass first phase.
Damn, you're right. Her Alt costume also gives her white hair. I wonder if they didn't intend V to be female earlier in development (although it looks like they always intended her to be a smith).
I didn't really play DMC5 for as long as I would have because of how annoying the style rank system is. Spent one evening trying to S rank mission 11 and decided I was done.
It's speculated because of that one concept art that V was supposed to be a female Mundus. Nico has a Blake tattoo so they might have intended for her to be more involved with V's story at some point. They probably gave her different style to not overlap with V visually
>when it was unironically one of the most kino experiences of the decade?
References to past games doesn't instantly equate to kino. It was good but the story sucked dick.
>Was DMC known for intricate level design int he past
No but it at least tried. In DMC 5 it's like the devs said "well we can't make interesting levels so let's not even try". The worst part is that the visual design becomes really dull.
