The definitive doesn't let you turn off certain advanced settings, so you need a much better PC than you would need to run the original. Also there's this fog effect that washes out the colors in the definitive version. Basically, it just makes no sense to get it when the original still holds up incredibly well.

You might get banned in certain online games for saying certain things, but that's because of the developers, not because of Steam. The only time Steam will ban your account is if you did some straight up illegal shit. Honestly, it's just a very well done single player game. The combat is fun, the story is pretty interesting, the characters are great, the dialogue is great, it looks good, it's funny, etc, etc. Sleeping Dogs felt like a very satisfying complete package to me. It's just a game you can dip into for a day or two, have some fun with, and move on to the next game.

I liked the one dlc where that one guy returns as a vengeful spirit and wants to get revenge because he was turned into catfood. He even wears a cat mask and you meet people that died during the game. They return as "hungry ghosts." That always want to eat, because people didn't give them enough offerings on their graves.

Its a essential part. You can kinda cheese it with guns. But those are not easy to get in the beginning and makes most missions way too easy since nobody shoots back. Everybody either uses kung fu too or attacks you with knifes or similar.
Later in the game there are some missions where you have to use guns.
