Persona 1 and Persona 2 remakes/remasters when? We know that Atlus doesn't mind milking the series for money now (e.g. Golden, Royal, the spinoffs) so this would be an obvious decision. Just remake the games with better graphics, better gameplay, and maybe a little extra story content and boom, you're printing money.

The only real problem about remaking the first two Persona games is whether they would add the calendar system and Social Links or not. Those have become a staple of the series and them not being there may turn off newer players but adding them in would require quite a bit of restructuring to the games.

You answered your own question, it was EP that got new scenarios. Although IS did get those missions where you go to the school from if... and 1. EP not getting localized doesn't change the fact that it was made though, blame Atlus USA for being lazy and the PSP for being dead.

Hipster shits can keep pushing the narrative that Atlus never acknowledge the old games but it will never be true.

It has to be just the western fandoms doing this shit.

Because idiots want to pretend to have weeb cred on the Internet by pretending 1 and 2 were actually good games that deserve attention and that everything from 3 onward is an abomination, when the truth is that 1 and 2 were just mediocre experimental spinoffs when Atlus was in a weird growing pains phase and Persona in general didn't get relevant until 4/P3P.

I'm certain that Atlus will re-release at least one of Personas 1-4 in the year or two after Persona 5R. I'm just not sure which of these it will be:

- Enhanced ports of the Persona 2 duology remakes
- "Persona Origins", basically ports of 1 and 2
- Persona 3 Definitive Edition
- Persona 4 Golden ported to PS4/Switch

I would say a definitive version of 3, encompassing the best parts of both FES and P3P is the most likely, but I've been saying that's imminent for around 7 or 8 years now, so who knows.

You can't adapt P1 and P2 into the modern Persona formula, aka day-by-day-progression and social links. Not to mention nobody cares enough about them. We'd sooner get a P3 remake than any P1 or P2 ones.
