What are the defining PC games?

> Nintendo has FF6, SF2, Metroid, Trigger, RE4, Mario & Zelda
> PlayStation has FF7, NieR, SoTN, MGS, TLOU & SOTC
> Xbox has Mass Effect 2, Bioshock & RDR1
> Sega has SoulCalibur & Panzer Dragoon Saga

the good ones

Like? They cannot be literal who games if they are supposed to define your platform

Age of empires.
Half life.
CS.
WoW.

The one and only

doom, fallout, half life, minecraft

Everything, this is why consoloids are pathetic

WoW
Minesweeper
Minecraft
The Sims

So nothing? Most of the shit boomers consider iconic is completely literal who to anyone outside Yea Forums

imagine gaming without consoles
no lootboxes, no normalfags in the first place, no limits, developers that actually give a shit about games and can spend all their budget on one platform
no cinematic expierences or movie games like Last of Us

what could and should have been...

> PC Gaming
> Ever being relevant
LOL

Doom
Quake
Half-Life
Skyrim
Starcraft
Counter-Strike
Command and Conquer
TF2
Football Manager

Age of Empires 2, Counterstrike, DOOM.

Valve literally popularised lootboxes.

And "GaaS" and endless patching and a ton of other bullshnit.

Jazz Jackrabbit
Commander Keen
Day of the Tenacle
Monkey Island
Hugo
Math Blaster
Theme Park
Theme Hospital

trackmania

>everything
>"so nothing"

you are mentally challenged

this lmao

GaaS is just MMOs. Fucking Runescape can be classified as GaaS.

TLOU is the most overrated game of all time with Skyrim right behind it.

>NieR
>defining anything
>bioshock and ME2 for xbox but not PC
huh

anyway, Doom and half life seem to be the only things

WoW and mobashit

pc gaming is trash

>no lootboxes
>PC Games

>all those rpg garbage
get a life lol

>can spend all their budget on one platform
One platform that is largely toasters. Making a high end game in 2019 that's PC exclusive is market suicide.

>SF2 as Nintendo when it's arcade first and foremost
>NieR as PS when it came out on the 360 too
>ME2 and RDR1 as Xbox when they both came out on the PS3
>not mentioning any Sonics for Sega

what the fuck OP

and the answer is Age of Empires, Civilization, everything by Blizzard, and everything by Valve

Autism simulators like heroes of might and magic LOOOOOOL

>NieR
>Not Silent Hill, Crash or gran turismo

Nah he is right. If you don't have any concrete examples you may as well have said nothing.

The PC is just for playing multiplats in high resolution and fps, or for sim games

What kind of faggot would put Metroid before Kirby or Donkey Kong?

Warcraft 3

How is TLOU defining? It's not even 10 years old

PC can play just about all of those.

It's defining for PS4

Half-Life
CS
Quake
Doom
WoW
Warcraft
League of Legends
Age of Empires 2
CK2
Minecraft

But it's a ps3 game.

Half-Life
Deus Ex
Doom
The Sims
Duke Nukem 3D
System Shock 2

age of empires is the best game of all time

This list is retarded

I'm sure there are many I'm forgetting, but even a cursory scour of my mind can tell you that these qualify far more as console defining games:

Nintendo's home console defining games are:
>Donkey Kong
>Super Mario Bros
>The Legend of Zelda
>Mario 64
>Goldeneye 64
>Ocarina of Time
>Animal Crossing
>Wii Sports
>Mario Kart 7
>Breath of the Wild

Sony's defining games:
>Final Fantasy 7
>Crash Bandicoot
>Gran Turismo
>Metal Gear Solid
>Grand Theft Auto 3/VC/SA
>The Last of Us
>God of War (4)
>Destiny
>Spiderman

Xbox's defining titles are:
>Halo
>Splinter Cell
>Forza Motorsport
>Halo 2
>Halo 3
>The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
>Mass Effect
>Gears of War
>Forza 4
>Forza Horizon 4

PC has thousands of games that could fit as "defining", it's frivolous to point them out. Just several once massively popular Blizzard titles alone, Diablo 2, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Warcraft etc. prove that.

Can someone list a defining Pc made after 2006?

>shitty multiplats
lel

Pc game*

EA began the lootbox craze with their soccer series, dumbass. The very first incarnation of lootboxes was in a chinese mobile game. Valve didn't "popularize" lootboxes. Companies followed suit when EA showed how much money it made them.

>Xbox
>All multiplats
Are you autistic in the essence that you wanna pretend ms has no good exclusives, or do you just genuinely not know

Halo, KOTOR, and...?

Lets be real PC gaming is but a shadow of what it once was. PC exclusives are dead. Console and PC gaming have merged.

Consoles are now budget PCs.

Attached: CommandnConquerBoxArt.jpg (446x438, 59K)

Mutliplats can define a console.

RE4 helped define the gamecube, Splinter Cell the gamecube, Oblivion/Dead Rising the 360, the GTA games the PS2 etc.

I wouldn't say Fable 2 or Viva Pinata defined the 360, despite the fact that I personally really enjoyed both those games back when they came out. Nor would I say Road Trip Adventure for the PS2 or Eternal Darkness for Gamecube defined those consoles either.

>TLoU
>defining
Imagine this piece of shit "defines" your platform HAHAHAHA

>listing only two games for sega
c'mon nigga

Also you forgot Halo. There's way more notable games than the one you listed, but I won't go full autism.

>MK7
What?

Brood War

Half-Life, Baulder's Gate, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Team Fortress 2, Doom 2, and probably League of Legends if we are being honest.

Nothing worthwhile in the last decade though
