GTX 1060 owner here. Any other cardlets around.
Modern games barely hold 60fps at 1080p anymore.
At witch point would you consider dropping in game resolution for stable fps?

Attached: 1528151494337.jpg (633x640, 40K)

Never 1080p/60 or bust.

1060 6gb as well brother

RX 560 is the best I got

1050ti 45fps 1080p. Just like me, my PC has given up on life.

Attached: 1485162945807.gif (280x212, 658K)

RX 570 here
I need a new cpu more than a gpu though

750ti chad here. i'll upgrade when a worthy ps5 game comes out

why spend 250-300 usd on a 1060 when you could have gotten a used 980ti for the same price or cheaper.

I have a gaming laptop with two GPUs and I feel like the integrated one sucks up a lot of the memory and hurts the performance

Attached: F12305D1-442E-41BF-9E23-2F0AF0071875.jpg (122x125, 3K)

980Ti still getting 96fps at 1600x1200 with everything maxed out. This shit just flies, I won't be considering upgrades for at least another year.

GTX670 FTW Edition reporting in.

Never upgrading again.

570 isnt that bad though , 1080p?

>tfw 2060
I know i'll be good for a while at 1080p, but i still regret not going for a higher end card.
Maybe Vega 64 or 2070 would've been better choices, even if they're way more expensive.

cant think of a game where that is worth it on a 1060 6gb, before dropping a few settings instead or it being a CPU bottleneck not gpu...?

it's pretty decent, I think I'm getting bottlenecked in most games by my cpu though

Brother. Mine was free so I can't complain.

>1600x1200
What the fuck, who has a screen like that?
For what purpose?

>tfw 2070
Its ok i guess. Gonna be obsolete in a year though.

Attached: up lig drumf.jpg (1074x716, 105K)

It's called a CRT, zoomer. Unrivaled motion clarity and looks good at any resolution from 640x480 to 1600x1200.

1070 here, was never an issue until I got an ultrawide monitor, now I'm starting to lower settings to keep the fps stable so I guess it's time for an upgrade

When the game starts to stuffer, or noticeably runs slow
Framerate > Graphic, allways.

take the redpill and buy a cheap rx580 8gigs if you have a decent processor

if its a single player game, fuck input delay or fps, i want it to look good

I'm going to ride this 1060 6gb through Cyberpunk 2077

I've got a 1060, i5 4670K and 8 gigs of ram. For how much longer do you guys think I can keep up?

i have a 560ti that i bought in 2011

Which resolution and settings do you want?

GTX650

Seeing how long I can ride this wave. The very fabric of my PC comes apart by the seams more every day.

Just turn down the graphical settings you R-tard. I have an GTX 770 2gb and can run 50-60 fps 1080p

>Modern games barely hold 60fps at 1080p anymore
The fuck are you doing to not be able to play at 60fps 1080p? Do you have a 386 for a cpu or something? Did you buy the 3gb 1060 which really isn't a 1060 as its cut down on more than RAM?
I can play VR games with 90fps on a fucking 1060 6gb

>mfw sapphire rx480 from launch
>sold it for a vega56 instead of a 1070
>vega56 25% faster than 1070
>undervolts nearly 200mv while hitting max clocks

Man imagine how much of a chump id feel if i got the 1070

Attached: rare remorse.jpg (2048x1536, 327K)

Only 1080p 60 (monitor is too shit for anything more)

1600x1200 on my 980ti as well...

for my oculus rift.

Eh then you'll be good for a while, maybe consider upgrading in 2020.

I'm playing Witcher 3 and Shadow of The Tomb Raider fine with mt 1060 at 1080p + 60fps. OP is full of shit.

Honestly I'm perfectly fine with my 1060 for 1080p60, the only games where I've had issues are Wildlands and I just had to lower some settings, I'm thinking the CPU was the issue here, and DQXI but only in Heliodor which has tons of stuff in it. Everything else (Mordhau, For Honor, Outwards and DS3 are probably my most intensive games besides the two I mentioned) get 60fps on high without an issue.

Ok, thanks user.

i have a 1060. Turn down shadows to medium and AA to x2 and your good retard

I just got a new pc with 16gb ram and a 1060 installed. Cost 600. Don’t regret it.

I'll give you like 2 years into the next console gen, so you'll probably be fine until 2022 or something.
Honestly I can't think of any reason to upgrade right now, I'm always thinking about upgrading but there's fucking nothing that's worth upgrading for at the moment.

have 1060 6 gb, but currently saving money for 2070 to play cyberpunk on ultra with rtx on

>still on my 970
kill me

Attached: 1489571011363.png (339x345, 123K)

Wait until Nvidia announces their Super versions of the RTX 20 cards.

whats wrong with 970 unless u play shovelware aaa trash like ass creed?

not much I suppose. the last AAA mistake I made was farcry 5

>Just turn down the graphical settings
um ew?

I will hold until next gen release rtx so far proved to be a expensive meme

Any idea when that will be? I've been saving up for a 2060 for ages and I don't want to get sucked into the cycle of waiting for new iterations.

August

Um, jew?

970 is a good card if you don't go above 1080

I'm running a GTX950.
It's surprisingly strong, can hold stable 50+ FPS in FC5, Doom, Nioh, TW3 and such, but it's not a good idea to play during this weather.

I'm using a 10 year old ATI 5850
It is suffering.

>still on a 970
>upgraded to 1440p when monitor blew up
kill me++

I use 1050ti in 1440x900. I'll be fine. The only modern game I had a problem with is Metro Exodus. The game stutters like crazy.

970 here. It's pretty much a tossup in performance on more modern games. RE2make ran at a perfect 60fps on high settings 1080p, but Apex runs anywhere from 25-70fps 1080p on low settings. I'll probably upgrade for cyberpunk around the holidays

I have a 1060 as well, before I had an ancient amd card that almost died when I tried to play Batman Arkham Knight. All the graphics were corrupted and nothing was loading in. Now my 1060 is getting on in years and when I played Yakuza Kiwami 2 I had to play everything at medium settings which is now prompting me to upgrade again.

GTX 960 here. Can only play games at 1360x768 because I’m using a TV from 2012 as a monitor.

Attached: AE21A887-BCF1-4247-875A-F03C2752FCAA.jpg (1805x2048, 293K)

I just wait for 3080 next year

heh I was joking
your post makes too much sense for a lot of idiots
I got a 970 and don't feel any need to upgrade
I rocked the 560 till it quit on me

I have a 1060 but the games I play are cpu intensive so I’m still getting 300+ FPS in vidya w/e the res I use

Having you consider setting the visual to console quality settings? Playing metro exodus at 1080p 60fps with a gtx 970

Reynolds? Is that you?

Attached: boomer.jpg (380x349, 27K)

GT740 here, it sucks but it will have to do until the first Navi reviews drop and I decide whether I'll get one or a 1660

Did you fight the bear 2nd time yet. I was getting pretty good performance overall, even 100+ fps in closed areas but that fight legit had me dipping below 30.

>I’m using a TV from 2012 as a monitor.
Please don't hurt yourself

Attached: limmy.gif (350x350, 268K)

>tfw 1060 3GB
oh well, it runs modern stuff on low just fine

Attached: 1560641354414.jpg (1125x1119, 223K)

Now that I think about it I should have probably turned off hairworks for that fight

GTX 1070 here, everything works on my machine

RTX 2060 here, I plan on getting a better card in the future but I need a new monitor first

Gtx 1060 6gb and 2560x1080 here

Huh, I can run modern stuff on medium/high 1080p 60 fps on my GTX 770

It's because he has the 3GB version of his card, it's basically a shitty rip-off version of the actual 1060 in every way.

1070 chad here, everyone below me is a poorfag and everyone above is a fiscally irresponsible retard. Feels good.

Attached: 15625871257.jpg (640x476, 52K)

Based. I upgraded to my 1070 for just $300 Aussie bucks used. Feels good mate.

$130 used.

Geforce 405 here, ask me anything.

It’s all I can afford unfortunately. Once I get a job one of the first things I’m going to do is get myself a good monitor and a better computer.

GTX 1080 in my laptop.
Any affordable and good monitor that I should use?

Godspeed. Even the cheapest monitor, as long it has a decent res and refresh rate, is miles better than any TV as monitor.

>GTX """1080"""
It's really just a desktop 1060, any 1080p 60hz monitor will do the job for you.

Scaled up resolutions are unacceptable, so never.

Since the 10 series, the mobile GPUs are a slightly underpowered version of the desktop counterparts. That means 1080 mobile is slightly underpowered 1080 desktop.

Thanks
I got it for only 1400 euros.
1080 | 16GB | 240GB NVMe SSD + 1TB

Will super rtx be worth it Yea Forumsros? Will AMD ever make the Ryzen of GPUs?

If a game can't run 1080/60fps at high on a 1060 6gb, the devs are fucking up.

I like my 1660, runs Kiwami 2 maxed out at 1080p.

Would a GTX 1660 with 6 GB enough for the next few years? Or just get a RX580?

Nevermind, I can find the RX580 for dirt cheap. Then I wait for RTX cards to be at a reasonable price (and games actually needing them).

1060 6GB here. Still surprised by how well the card holds up but running that with my FX 8350 REALLY shows how outdated it's become.

ATi 5870 reporting in.

remember when people told you going pc would save you money

Attached: 1528984055657.png (645x1247, 259K)

2080 Super seems like it could be fine contender for my pc, as my 1070ti is struggling with 1440p144hz

I'm still on a 1060. Plays everything I want to play just fine. I don't see the point in upgrading so I can run the latest skinnerboxes at 4k. I couldn't give a fuck. 1060 is all you need to play everything worth playing on PC.

>At witch point would you consider dropping in game resolution for stable fps?
At none. I'm okay with dropping anything BUT resolution.

It saved plenty of money for me. Instead of buying a PS4, I bought a cheap used PC and yo ho hoing my games instead.

Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 cunts
