I meant Charlie and Henry. Sure they were in the books but those characters have almost nothing in common with the game versions.

Oh, yeah, forgot about them. Yeah I didn't really like having to bring the books into things, I would have much preferred something entirely new for PS.

Yeah, PS would've been much cleaner if it stuck to the characters already established, at most introducing Will's wife to fill out gaps about the family. It's biggest mistake from a narrative perspective was trying to close the book on a five-game story instead of just two, with 4 and SL.

Pretty much that. Guy looking for revenge and being the "I'm not nice" BBEG and later shifting into him trying to reconstruct his fallen empire by making allies.

Reaver was the one who fleshed out most of the story elements for the series.

I don't think so, he's been represented as "purple" for ages, suddenly making orange serves no purpose. Not to mention his house was located next to a restaurant, not in the middle of a forest.

The killer is an Australian alcoholic vampire cyborg dad who’s currently being raped and killed in Hell over and over again while an AI copy of him takes over bodies on Earth.

The best part was the week when the first game came out and no one knew anything about it and everyone thought it was a genuinely good horror game until it died from overexposure and Scott wanting to finally make a game series after an eternity of making shitty christian games.

Local Australian purple madman creates murder robots to kill children and extract some kind of spiritual essence from, which ends up making them possess said animatronics, then their ghosts chase him and he hides inside a rabbit suit that malfunctions and fucking impales him, but he survives and becomes zombie robot purple man, fast forward a fuckton of years and he finds himself waking up in a horror attraction, tries to kill the guard but eventually the place burns down and he, again, somehow escapes death. Meanwhile his son visits a different but related franchise where there is a robot possessed by his daughter, which was killed by said robot. Eventually that robot along with all the others leave their bodies and become a single amalgamation that then scoops out the son's entrails and replace it with themselves to use him as a skinsuit. But they eventually kick the daughter robot out for being too bossy and then vomit themselves out in the sewers and the son is left wondering how the fuck he's still alive, so he goes to try and find his dad (zombie rabbit man if you forgot), and ends up as owner of a restaurant, while a coworker of zombie rabbit man lures him, the vomited amalgamation, the rejected daughter robot, and the Puppet from the second game but trapped inside a pseudo-Freddy suit (the puppet is possessed by the coworker guy's dead daughter, by the way).
Then coworker man burns it all down and rabbit zombie man is sent to hell to be tortured for eternity. But before he died he uploaded a virus that contained his consciousness into the VR game and is currently body-hijacking everyone that plays it. This is where we are right now, and I left several things out.

Could also be Henry. He covered up employees deaths, maybe he covered up Charlie’s death as well figuring an animatronic covering her corpse would look suspicious.
