I comm whoever I perceive to be an outlier, or someone who has done a good job.

I'd like mystic knight/rune fencer.

They could be the equivalent to a melee dps with magic where they input different runes to imbue their rotations with various effects.

I'd want their weapon to be a twinblade like the thief swords Zidane has, but distinctly based around curved middle eastern weapons so it has a nice curved design. Maybe the weapon can split into 2 swords during certain moves and attacks and vice versa?

I think its one of the few dungeons in the game that actually feels like a dungeon. its oppressive and feels dangerous and the mobs put up a fight. Just like a dungeon should. it also syncs at 49 so gear isn't a crutch.

Strangely enough, that dynamic already exist in the game files, as that was gonna be Musketeers gimmick. It was gonna main-hand a short sword and off-hand a pistol, back when 1.0 made every class use both slots. I believe there are a couple NPCs that still use this pose/model, most notably in the MCH job-quests, but I forget if they even had any unique animations.

You shouldn't run into many issues. Usually our problems are with solo duty instances causing massive queues due to bloat. Server crashes and emergency maintenance are rare and short-lived typically.

Depending on how the Trust system pans out, we might get "Trust only" jobs, so that's likely the closest we'll get to a gun-totting Pirate. For example, Merlwyb being a Pirate Ranged DPS, with some unique animations and skill names. I can see them doing this for future "Job coverage", since Trusts don't need a full skill list or rotation, just a couple basic abilities that accomplish whatever their role is. Much like the current system in the story where you control NPCs.

It's kinda depressing if that happens, but I guess it's better than no representation at all.

BLU, mainly, since they have the best gear spread for Chant du Cigne. RDM has a lot of options nowadays, and arguably better buffs/accuracy, but they lack crit gear for big Spike damage/Light SCs.

COR is a close second, especially with Magian gun. Savage Blade has one of the best damage growths for 1-handed weapons, and COR gets a huge amount of WS damage gear, and just good melee gear in general. If an enemy is resistant to Dark damage, there's a good chance that Savage Blade will be a better option than Last Stand or Leaden Salute. They also have good SC options for mixed builds, more so than BLU, as they can do Last Stand > Savage > Last Stand for Double Light with Aeonic gun.

BLM doesn't have a set burst "window" because not only does Ice still do comparable damage to most other jobs, Foul and Thundercloud are some of its highest potency abilities and both are primarily used in Ice. Practically speaking there's no real reason to assign it any sort of burst window because its damage is fairly constant.

We know they can switch your skills for PvP so implementing a similar system for BLU, but where you can switch between both grimoires with a special action in the overworld or while in a PF instance, and automatically get switched once you enter DF duties would probably be technically possible.

My current theory is that Matoya is also the name of some ancient witch on the First and Y'shtola adopted the name to make people think that some hero from long ago has resurfaced to save them. They're pretty much calling for a total overhaul of BLU. I'd probably prefer they just didn't get into raids since accurate or half-accurate monster skills wouldn't fly. Hell, hard and EX primals already have that problem, there's some surprising stuff they're not invulnerable to (like Titan's boulder bomb adds not being immune to Deep Freeze from Ram's Voice, trivializing that mechanic), but for the most part they're still invulnerable to a large number of BLU spells that inflict effects.

Honestly all the op stuff in BLU turned out to be rather boring, i could perfectly do without Doom, Missile, level 5 Petrify, Tail Screw, and everything else that's op in a non one-shot way could be adjusted, like the stun in Ram's voice could be reduced to be on par with Holy, White Wind could be shared and have a cooldown, Bad Breath could have a cooldown, fuck almost everything in this class could be balanced by adding cooldowns alone not to mention potency adjustments
