It's not only shit, it's dead. Compare with the other PDX games, they didn't lose all their player like this.
The launch spike was around the others, meaning it sold well, but the low current players will fuck up their prospects of selling DLC, which is where they make the big bucks

I tried playing it because it came with the Xbox Game Pass and it's just fucking awful. I've played plenty of Paradox games but the UI in this is so fuck-awful it's almost impossible to ignore. I played for maybe an hour before giving up because I couldn't deal with it anymore.

its proof that Denuvo fucking works, because Imperator Rome has no Denuvo. That means Imperator Rome has like 50k+ illegal thefts that are not on steam while 3k was protected by the denuvo bulls (thus people sadly had to buy it/use steam)

All they had to do was make CK:2 rome edition, but because Paradox are fucking hacks now they can't make anything that doesn't resemble EU:4.

I pirated imperator, started it but couldn't even be bothered to even try a single playthrough, uninstalled it the next day and forgot all about it.

It is pretty fun and also every update it's like a whole new game since they change like half of the mechanics each time

Paradox games have really good conversion mods desu. Best AsoIaF game is a Paradox mod. Can play an Elder Scrolls grand strat. Stellaris has good ones for Halo and Star Trek. Not sure how Imperator Rome will fit into all of this. Not well i dont imagine. It seems to be more along the lines of an EUIV or HOI type game. Hell there are already mods that take CK2 back to the Roman time period arent there?

Indeed, and IR is made to be moddable all the way to Japan, the luminescense map shows that there are thousands of regions in china that are ready for modders but obscured by the map's fog. It seems though that the game doesn't have a following to begin with, even their levvit is almost completely dead so don't expect big mods to come out for the game very soon

Whats the best Paradox grand strat? I wanna try to get into the genre but idk where to start. I always see everyone praise that Europa 3 game, the WW2 one and Crusader Kings. So i assume one of those?
