Stop aiming to face, boobs and ass.

>game doesn't force you to walk slow
>keep walking normally while listening to audio

>never hear the rest of what was being said despite you wanted to hear
should've just stood there and did nothing I guess

Beeb. Beep.

Raiden. Do you remember day we meet?

Kelly and Pablo grow on you.

Literally any game with driving/riding sections. I always just stop my car/horse entirely, hear all the dialogue, then actually go to my destination

Literally a huge red flag
Except I don't remember seeing it on bloodborne

>game gives you full control even during cutscenes/dialog, doesn't even automatically set the camera to look at what's happening unless you (optionally) hold a button for it. And the scene kinda just happen far in the background otherwise
Feel like The Surge never once forced anything that stopped me from moving around as I wanted except for the early introduction and ending anyway.

Walk and talk segments are absolute cancer incarnate.

Army of Darkness was shit

>your walk is slower than npcs walk
>if you run too far ahead they simply stop and wait for you to get close enough before they move again

How do you filter an anonymous user?

>boss fight cutscene
>able to control your character again
>the boss continues to talk to you
>can only hear bits and pieces because you're also concentrating on the battle
>even if you deplete the boss's health bar they'll stay alive until they finish their monologue at which a cutscene of you defeating them immediately follows
I love Dragon's Dogma, but the encounters with Salomet and Seneschal are easily the weaker points of that game.

The inFamous series feels like a god send now because of that. In all three games no matter what it is you're doing, neither Cole nor Delsin slow or stop their activities just to talk to someone.

why dont you ask your parents so that they could finally tell you that you were a mistake

mgs4 was top comfy, I still put on love theme to lull me to sleep some times

I'm a third person fag who really doesn't like first person perspective very much.

I feel like the InFamous series is the only good exclusive playstation has now.

Did you at least play with letterbox for like 2 minutes?

But this is good. Would you rather he goes faster than you and you can't follow? Or he walks slower than you and it takes forever?

>t. zoomer
Suck my dick, buster bill, MG2:SS through MGS2 were brilliant little arcade stealth titles. You and MGS4 can get down on all fours and nibble my nads.

I pick both, Nero is still shit

Not him, but what baffles my mind about SoTN is that Alucard can't sprint while Richter can.

>Lara enters cave/tomb/whatever
>time to start walking really fucking slowly

GIVE ME A BOOST

>game forces you to walk slow after an NPC
>walking is slower than him
>running is faster than him

It's probably designed to help keep casual players happy. Like, if they let you go as fast as you wanted, there wouldn't be enough time to finish the scripted scene they want you to see. If they just cut off the dialogue with a scripted "Hold on, We're here. Let's get the mission started" at random whenever the player gets to the objective (for example if they rushed through travel to get to the destination faster) it may have caused the player to skip past some important information about beating/solving the next challenge.

I beat it so many times the only ranking I didn't get was the chicken one that required you to take a long playtime to beat the game with a ridiculous number of kills, alerts, and deaths. And only because in order to get the number of deaths necessary to meet the requirement would have required repeatedly jumping to my own death in the hallway at the very end of the game before, because it was the only place left I could die before winning the game.

All Metal Gear games have their merits. There's always something in each game that gives a fan a reason to play it again.

>It's probably designed to help keep casual players happy.
Casual players don't like sitting around in non-cutscenes. They want the awesome button, they want to be fucking around all the time.
Hardcore players don't like them, they see as a ball and chain to gameplay.

There's easy solutions that don't involve forcibly slowing everything down, like switching to global audio over making players wait and listen, that sort of thing.
So who is this for? Far as I can tell, the only one who ever likes the shit is the guy who wrote the shit story.

>NPC moves as fast as you run
>you fuck up by not keeping up to reload your gun or sth
>NPC starts talking and you barely hears him because he is too far away, and you can't get any closer

Attached: 1520474816172.png (639x354, 210K)

fucking Kingdom come Deliverance
I was not paying attention and took my speedy horse to ride faster than Bernard and Capon only to see that when they arrived they finished a Dialouge.
Had to redo 20 minutes because of that shit.

>5 minutes of cutscene
>All of a sudden, button prompt

This is a good example of it sometimes being a necessity. In Bethesda games there are lots of situations where you can wander off and not know where you need to go. There are a lot of pieces of game content that become completely unavailable if you accidentally kill a "non essential" NPC. The ones that would break the game completely are made essential, and so they are immortal because if you could kill them then it would be possible to make it impossible to finish the game. Sometimes you can skip a conversation by walking away and you just lose information like "You should go to the Jarl in Whiterun and tell him about what happened." You might eventually travel to Whiterun if you skip that conversation, but you won't know that your next game progression mission is there, and so you might travel around aimlessly to many other towns first, since you don't know where, specifically, you're supposed to go.

But sometimes it's essential to make these slow walking forced scenes to give key information to the player so they can't accidentally put them self in a situation where their save game becomes unbeatable, because they made a mistake somewhere along the line.

was meant for

>you miss and have to sit through the 5 minutes again

We've had quest logs for ages to solve the "missed shit" problem.

>randomized QTE
>scene implies the best course of action would be to jump
>attack button prompt
>your character jumps
Was more retarded mechanic than this ever invented, dog bless the QTE meme is dying

>expecting zoomers to read
lol

Every naughty dog and rockstar game. It was the reason i couldn't bother beating RDR

There's (better) ways around it that have been done more than once before.
>just railroad the conversation
>cutscene it
>allow the player to match speed/auto follow the npc, or vice versa
>player log book with cliff's notes of the conversation

>MGS2 with Raiden
>DMC4 with Nero
Sounds like a good thing to me.

Cute face, wish she had some milkers

I can't understand why devs love putting forced cutscenes so much when everyone fucking hates them normalfags included.

Retard.

That's better than cutscene where you don't have any control over character. Don't see issue.

>have choice between walking very slowly or stalling entire scene
cool control, I feel empowered.

Whoa

>no one fucking buys it
really nogs my joggin

Evil Dead 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time.

>replaying game
>have to walk slow for 5 minutes
>even worse is original Ninja Gaiden 3 version where you have to fight enemies during the slow walk and Hayabusa just slowly swings his sword and instant kills them, he can die during this so you can't just hold forward

meanwhile with a cutscene:
>skip cutscene
>immediately regain control, at worst after a loading screen
>get to do whatever you want

>game let's you walk around normally during cutscenes or dialogue sections
>Can do all sorts of goofy shit while NPCs just watch

Evil Dead 2 IS my favorite movie of all time.
