Is this shit bugged? Do I need a specific ability? I have a bunch of abilities inflicting hobbled or immobilized, e.g. the rogue ability or mage and druid. Anyone know this shit?

>Obshitian game is bugged
what else is new
It does make it sound it checks for an ability that causes a Dexterity affliction, maybe they just forgot to include in the check the specific ability you have.
Then again I haven't played the DLCs so it's only speculation.
>meanwhile at the Baldur's Gate 3 studio...
Currently replaying this shit. About to dig through the game files to find the checks for this shit.
desu i don't think Larian is any better
i tried DivOS but i dropped it after a few hours because the writing was so weird and gay
OS2 is a bit less wacky, with more roleplaying. you might like it more.
Now that I think about it, in the base game all of these checks required a specific ability. The tool tip likely just explains the meaning of the icon, it's probably used for every dexterity affliction in conversation but it doesn't mean any of the will work.
Same. As fun as people might claim divinity is I exclusively play the classics from when people knew how to write a compelling story grounded in realism.
Then they must have changed this at some point. I just checked this wiki page and it says for one of the encounters you could even use the watcher ability that distracts enemies (perceptions) but I was not offered to use it. Same as in screenshot above.

every Larian Studios game is shit written
>a bit less
is not very endearing but i might try it
how much difference does playing a preset character make? is it like origins in DA:O or something more robust?
no separate start like DAO but the unique dialogue is nice and some (lhose and fane) offer unique endings
There are entire questlines for each character. If you don't play as them you will meet them in the world and can recruit them and still do their quest. You can't have everyone, though.
The overall tone is darker, but wacky shit can still happen, especially if you have the trait to talk to animals
>obnoxious comic relief character
>misrepresenting the game this hard to impress anons on a Mongolian throat singing board
Incel levels too great. You're not even have sex tier. Have masturbation.
>I-it's meant to be shit I promise
cope
it's not just the wackiness for me
i find it hard to explain, but it's like the whole game is a constant fourth wall break
something keeps reminding you that the world isn't real, the characters aren't real, and the dialog feels like that instead of allowing roleplaying, it's constantly prodding you, the player, about your opinions
what does it feel like shilling for Larian online for free
it feels as if it was written by people who spend 6 hours a day arguing about politics on twitter
that's a pretty good way to put it
ethical dilemmas thrown up with no context is too weird for me
It's gonna be shit. Larian has never made a game with any depth, do you seriously think they could make a game with classes and rtwp all while at the same time holding back their humour?
I'll be honest here, this game looks like shit.
>examples given: literally zero
I wish more games used Origins mechanic from DA:O
The Morrowind Lilarcor mod had so much better writing.
