You either get a fucking huge one (to the point of hitting the roof of the track and killing your speed), one that stops short and puts you in the water, or they either never register or register late, again killing your speed.

I never liked this track anyway and with this shit I'm going to get the sapphire relic then avoid it at all costs.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly how sacred fire works. To enter SF, you have to drift-boost into a boost pad, correct? Does it have to be the third boost in the drift, or no? Does the third boost have any significance what so ever in regards to SF?
Once you have SF, will hitting another drift-boost knock you out of it, or will drift-boosting extend it? Do the same rules apply for USF?
What about the boost item; if I drift-boost and then immediately afterwards use the item, do I gain SF? I'm about to go to sleep and these thoughts are eating away at me.

SF works off your boost reserves, so yes all you have to do is just drift over the turbo pad, doesn't matter which mini-turbo you're on. Hitting any wall or slamming the breaks kills all your reserves. USF has also been buffed so that you can keep it going with reserves even if you do more turbos. And yes a juiced up boost canister pretty much gives you SF speed at any time.

I also completed the original GRID on Extreme, and I don't believe that there's rubberbanding. Though I must say that the A.I catch up really quick on the straights of Circuit de la Sarthe.
I don't know if it's slipstream or what, but I always lose them in the corners only for them to rapidly close the gap on the straights.

It doesn't even matter how well I drive track, even if everything goes nearly perfect, the game keeps rubberbanding him right behind me, and once he takes the lead he drops a bomb right into my face and starts spamming and staggering me with these things to a point where I can't even control my kart for up to 10 seconds, until I finally drop down a ledge and basically lost the race at that point.

Speed is good if you learn how to drift and utilize U-turning well, though they might struggle in some levels with keeping USF up.
Accel is the other good pick, second fastest and they don't turn too steeply, meaning you can drift on straight roads decently

I've been playing the original CTR and when I got to Pinstripe, he bombed my ass so hard I he got about half the track ahead of me. But instead of restarting, I just kept racing because what the heck, better learn the map while I'm here.
He was so far ahead that the bombs weren't an issue so I managed to relax and learn how to git gud.
Managed to catch up to his ass by the end of it but still lost. Rematch starts and I fucking leave him in the dirt. He catches up every now and again but I cut him off on corners and drift boost back to 1st.

Not that user but I've been playing the original all this month and you never had to touch the brake in Papu's Pyramid even with a Speed character. With Speed you had to slow down a little bit but that just meant losing your reserves, not braking.
It's much harder to naturally turn in NF. Mid air U turn is mandatory now.

So a friend gave me his psn account and the game feels a little bit different, I don't know if is a feel of the PS4 Controller (being more lighter than PS1) or the game itself, but the karts seems more lighter too, after a big jump on the original, you feel the kart almost crashing on the track and the boost, but here, the kart softly lands on the track and boost you.

The drifting takes time to adapt and feel sure, in my first race, I was crashing against every wall on Crash Cove, but is not that bad and feels almost as good as the original.

Skins and characters are a little bit overpriced, but playing online and winning a races gave me 600 coins per track, I won like 5 races and bought Velo, Small Norm and Nash in about 2 hours?
Online is a mess, you can see karts teleporting all over the place but if you are good and boost through all the track you can easily win and is a nice way to farm coins (I won every race online with a lot of time left because of those teleporting players)

Sorry if i wrote like shit, but here I am being a third world player but I love the game and the effort the guys behind it did to make almost a perfect copycat of the original one

I can't imagine how these people are going to react to Oxide beginning the race before the countdown ends and his red potion hell.
