>rtx
pass
show me the next gtx cards

>tfw still using an ATI 5850
Hate being poor, gotta earn me dat green

They always win unless AMD glues 2 GPUs together or includes a free AIO

>$429 for a midrange card

Attached: 1502042039508.jpg (645x773, 87K)

The 2060 is still 350$ can be bought online for 320$ and it matches a GTX 1080 which was a 700$ card less than 3 years before. The 1660ti is a 279$ MSRP and it compares to a 1070 which was like 379$ new. Mid range is doing much better than budget cards now

>and it matches a GTX 1080
The 2070 barely outperforms the 1080 for a couple of frames, the 2060 isn't even close. Unless you are claiming that the 2060 is a better performer than the 2070, which is a flat out lie, or you drank too much into the green cool-aid.

spotted the 1080 user

"nooooo my card can't be so shit!!!"

youtu.be/d9WdI381zCs 2070 is best

I had a 1080 about 7 months ago, I saw the eclipse of it's high end status 2016 was along time ago

>Ass Creed
>The 2070 dips into low 70s
>1080 still at low 80s
>2060 at mid 80s
This guy has fucked something up in his benchmarks.

unlucky, i was trying to bait you. looks like the user from the masterrace are the only ones with an IQ over 80 in this place

yea ur mum

>Ubisoft makes shit games
youtu.be/4MGtw5ZJxGU OC'd it beats the 1080 how aren't they comparable again?

I am a masterbaiter

I don't trust it.
youtu.be/_3IxsXoVimU?t=568
Steve, however, I do trust. And he's shown the 2060 to be comparable to 1070ti levels. An overclocked 1070Ti can outscore a stock 1080, barely, at a great cost to the efficiency of the card. So just because you could, doesn't mean you should, but you've already had access to the 1070 for years. And if you want to, regardless, the vega 56 might be a cheaper, better alternative to it, right now, depending on where you live.

>going to have to wait 2 whole generations in just so that i can get a decent increase for a decent price
GPUs are a joke.

>$100 less for the power of a card from 3 years ago
Power increases are so small nowadays it's pathetic.

>caring about high spec graphics
Lmao
Low quality in most games now looks good

youtu.be/_3IxsXoVimU
Vega 56 might be worth it for a good price but the 2060 is still stronger. Once again this is a matter of a frame or 2

It's more like 250$ but it's definitely went to shit since the 600 series

PC market these day just fuck up.

And every generation.

AMD should have bought nVidia instead of ATi.

>being poor

>5700xt is 10% better than 2070 for $450
>goy buy this new card that's 10% worse than 2070 for $425, it has rtx in it, who cares if you'll never use it

Let's actually see AMD release some benchmarks that aren't vague then. I have no faith because it's a blower style card so I automatically have to hope on AIBs to not be retarded which will really make the card a 480$ card

>super is WEAKER

Super should be the stronger ones. This is dishonest marketing.

GOOD GOY YOU NEED THIS FOR THE LATEST GRAPHICAL EFFECTS

>b-but AMD
Both companies are shit. Nvidia for being mega jews, AMD for being incompetent. This is a seller's market.

That's why you gotta research first

They're pulling an Intel; no proper improvements until AMD start eating into their market share.

>midrange
The X60 cards the budget series. Midrange are the X70 series cards which start at $599.

>7nm
>still 225 fucking watts
>no rtx - amdtards have to pretend they don't want features anyway
>10 months late, full chip only 10% faster than a harvested lower midrange die
>gets dabbed on by super
Yeah, Navi is Vega 2.0

yep people let this shit happen

I have a 1080ti so I think I'll wait a few years. I'm pretty safe until the PS5 and Scarlett multi plats come out and run like ass

They wanted to, but Huang wanted to be AMD CEO to accept it.
This is a horrible idea in every possible way and so AMD noped straight outta there.

What games can you play with these overpriced cards that i cant play on my 1060 6gb for $150?
What games can i not play on a 2008 cpu in the current consoles?

Some people want to play at a better quality than 1090p/60 High you know.
It's not 2011 anymore.

can you stop twisting what midrange means? Midrange isn't defined by stupid naming schemes. It's defined by price.

Nothing matters for 1440p and below when 1660ti exists.
You either get 1660 or 2080ti, middle ground is bad value.
Navi is marketing failure, RTX price with no RTX feature, it doesn't even support DXR.

>What games can i not play on a 2008 cpu
you can play it, but not without stutter. 2017 was a breaking point for 4 cores without HT.

completely irrelevant til games arrive that need a new gpu. And by that time new ones will arrive.

Attached: 1559492412525.gif (328x252, 765K)

Won for being scammers.

ampere not coming by the time CP77 comes out
big navi is essentially worthless 2080ti in 2020,
you can get 2080ti today
GPU market is very boring these days

So 1440p, which games still look like 1080p.
60fps or 120+ on games you arent going to be come a csgo pro at.

Totally worth spending $1000 on the upgrade

>ampere not coming by the time CP77 comes out
This is the saddest thing. The one game that deserves a pc upgrade and it's going to be with overpriced year and a half old parts

t. poorfag cope

>you can get 2080ti today
For $1200
Big Navi will not be $1200

>So 1440p, which games still look like 1080p.
no they don't, did you even use 1440p?

No, but it will be a disappointing turd.

I just want a

>more revisions of 4+ year old cards
OH BOY

fuck this shit

Yeah haha remember when the Vega VII launched a year after the 1080ti at just 100$ less?

it will be $950 if trend to be followed with AMD last 5 years.

>nvidia

Attached: 39945d4d78763a8a5c9525484d815f191d0a0fd5.jpg (500x661, 47K)

it's $1550 here.

Attached: with jews you lose.jpg (1087x479, 138K)

Same here bro

I wish 2080 super didn't look like shit either, they look like they're gonna be a very marginal upgrade from the base 2080

I would seriously consider 4k monitor if 2080ti was around $700. What a terrible timeline.

Attached: 1462295690658.jpg (600x798, 57K)

imagine if leaks are wrong and they boost only RTX cores?
>now you can run those 3 games a little faster with RTX

>TFW 970let
ill wait for 2 next generations

Vega VII is a pro card that wasn't intended for consumers. 5700xt is the consumer card. Same performance for $450.

does it even work above medium textures these days?

Nvidia justified their price hike with REVOLUTIONARY FEATURE.
AMD just hiked prices for the sake of hiking it.
It doesn't matter if feature is raw at best not working at worst, it isn't on AMD but price is.

Don't fall for the "4k GPU" meme. You can play 99% of games in 4k on upper midrange cards.
The only reason to not buy a 4k monitor is the pricing and lack of 120Hz options.

5700xt is at best a 2070 which is around a base 1080 for 450$ coming out 3 years after it which had a 500$ msrp
just shut the fuck up with the amd gpu bullshit they're just as bad

4k on a monitor is fucking retarded period like if you plan on playing at 4k on a 27/32 inches display you're dumb as shit

Now if what you plan on is to play on your fancy as fuck 60" tv fro the comfy couch then yeah absolutely

Is 4k the biggest "a fool and his money" example in history?
2k@144hz has always been the superior choice, but media got to brainwash morons who didn't even compare the two to realize there's hardly any difference at all.

I don't know, my 1070 struggles with some games at 1440p going below 45fps sometimes. I'm fine with 45 and above though.
120hz feels nice, but i'm getting old so 60 is fast enough for me, i'm using 144hz with 60 fps limit now with actual feedback delays it's somewhere in 90fps game feeling wise range(compared with older games)
so if monitor is 60hz but has low lag it might be fine for me

>mid range now costs over 400 freedom dollar
where did everything go so wrong?

>I do not know what DPI is

I got a GTX 1070 for free in April and I will keep it and don't even give a shit about RTX and Gold and Founders Edition and Blast Processing and Ray Tracing so don't

Attached: RED_.webm (740x1110, 495K)

See:
Nah. 3d video was.
4k is great if you have the content. Its shit for games, and its why consoles are going for fps instead of resolution next gen.

Its why nintendo doing 720p/60 is better than 1080p/30

fps is about lag decrease, high fps better controls feedback
if monitor at 60hz got under 5ms lag it will feel pretty close to 144hz

2070 is almost 20% faster than 1080 and only 10% slower than 1080ti. 5700xt is a bit faster than 2070 so will be very close to 1080ti

You know DPI is a printing term and not a pixel thing right

>2070 is almost 20% faster than 1080
source

handles ultra 60/30fps on 1080p just fine

Works on high settings in 1080p. The meme paid out in the long run.

source on those milkies

I'm buying a 5700 since the 2060 super is stupidly priced

Attached: 1556292290072.jpg (486x604, 53K)

390 worked better in the long run for me I used it for 3 years at 1440

Oh wow, they dropped the RTX 2060 down closer to the price it should have been at launch, how nice.
Fucking niggers, the xx60 GPU should NEVER be more than $250.
I don't give a fuck WHAT stupid meme tech you stick in it.

>rtx is the only implementation of ray tracing
you shills piss me off

Attached: 1560851143295.jpg (450x418, 29K)

90 / 76 = 18%

Attached: relative-performance_3840-2160.png (500x770, 46K)

why not 1660ti? difference is marginal at best, price difference is huge though

Attached: untitled-14.png (712x1034, 51K)

Nigga my GTX 660 still works on Medium these days. If you have trouble going for High/Ultra with a 970, you are retarded.

I have my 970 since 2014 and it serverd me more than well.
It's crazy how well it still performs in 1080p 5 years later.

>256bit for 16gb's fast gddr6

so fucking pointless, we could be getting over 700gb's bandwidth by no

RTX=DXR
it's the only working one. even pascal cards run it okay-ish. AMD refuses to support DXR in drivers for some reason, it would run RTX games too if they did.
youtube.com/watch?v=ojtPOPljVOY

>why don't you buy this card that performs worse?

>it's the only working one.
>t. doesn't know what he's talking about

techpwoerup and tom's hardware are owned by subsidiary of nvidia and intel, just so you know.

come on, show me video games with working ray tracing. I'll wait.

very antisemitic post

youtube.com/watch?v=Qo3h895soM0

>got an unused 1660ti on CL for $200
>only use it for netplay melee and auto chess

i replaced my gtx460, how did I do?
also what games to play for impressive visuals?

>bought a 1080ti
>was hesitant because the 80tis always end up being demolished by the next gens mid-high end cards
>rtx broke the cycle
>super doesn't look likes it's changing anything
>bought it before the buttcoin meme so didn't pay out the ass

Have to say, this was a really good purchase, thanks for stagnating and pushing meme bullshit nvidia.

nah, i'm asking why would you pay x2 more for essentially same performance? navi real life performance is remains to be tested. they boasted RVII to be faster than 2080 too just a little while back.

are you for real? it's not GI. It's glorified AO shader.

yeah the 1080ti was a sick af purchase on release

>2x
>5700 is $329 MSRP
>average price on amazon is $250 for a 1660t
shoo shoo shill

I hope you memed some coins too and sold them.
Would have been a free graphics card if you jumped on the wagon early
quiet

>global illumination is the only implementation of tracing rays
you're retarded kid

you are not buying reference card, are you?

delusion

>buying new graphics card just before consoles get upgraded
Retards. Just get a mid range card once the consoles are out so you can run all games at 60fps minimum

it's the best one, everything else is minor additions. DXR and vulkan name for realtime raytracing I forgot is the only true ray tracing techs, and only nvidia supports them in drivers and games. period. AMD supports them with hardware but they are not adding it to drivers because marketing reason, it will run like on pascal with AMD.

TW3 won't do 1080/60 on a 660 unless you're on all low, and still won't hit that in cities.

No, but even if an AIB card costs $400 it's not twice the price. A 2060 is roughly $400 as well with an AIB design. I'd rather play slightly more money for more performance than a lot less money for worse performance

you can check it yourself

>pay significantly more money for slightly more performance
it's your money do what you will. at least read 3 reviews for 5700 as bare minimum. not watch youtube, read actual reviews.

i literally did. there is nothing that indicates what you're saying.

I only give a fuck about Nvidia and I still can't justify those fucking prices

>king prices
des rite

Attached: orange.webm (640x792, 1.07M)

I want to play 3 holes with her if you know what I mean

>$1200 for 2080 ti
>slap on probably another 200-400 for the asus/gigabyte custom version
>over $1500 for a fucking video card

Part of me wants to for future proofing. I'm on a 970 and the 3.5 meme is definitely starting to take its toll for current games, want to upgrade for cyberpunk, witchfire and control

>and control
I got bad news for you user...
Control looks kind of mediocre.

>Those prices
Nobody won this generation.
AMD tried to go full jew too, instead they went full retard making it sure nobody buys their new cards.
Nvidia is still being Nvidia with overpriced cards.

The best move currently is to buy a old gen used card or wait for another gen, again.

Attached: 1451086898960.png (336x360, 164K)

Oh it does, but it looks pretty and I like the aesthetic. I'm not fully sold on it yet, but it looks like a fun game to make webms out of, which I enjoy doing. Mainly want to upgrade for cyberpunk

>GDDR
fucking ramlets.

And 2060 is 5% worse than a 2070 for $300.

I can also get a 1080Ti for cheaper.

I still have a 1050 Ti

Is the 1660 Ti a good upgrade?

>$1200 for flagship card

This kind of pricing used to be reserved for quadro cards. This is lunacy. The GPU game really needs a 3rd contender to iron the bullshit from this nvidia and AMD fuckery.

retard.

No. A 1070 is faster. A vega56 is vastly faster and the same price. Anyone buying a 1660 is a colossal retard.

Yes.
Or a used 1070Ti.

>6%
>vastly faster

check out used 1070 ti's. they're way faster than anything else in that price point between $250-300.

Attached: relative-performance_1920-1080.png (500x810, 48K)

Funny thing, Quadros used to be $800.

a 56 chugs double the power.

fucking cryptofags ruined GPUs forever and i will never not be mad
