Currently replaying it for the 4th time with a shitton of boss mods this time. Having lots of fun with the ramped up difficulty on some of these fights.

I hope the update adds a new final final FINAL boss, and it turns out to actually be the Moon like they had planned at first.

I tried a bunch of times using rod of discord but there's just too much stuff happening on screen.

I remember beating him by just flying around on the UFO and shooting at him. I think he's way easier in singleplayer because I only tried once with a friend and kept eating attacks that weren't even meant for me.

Sadly almost all the vanilla bosses in the game have this mechanic where all they do is try to hit or chase you with their own hitbox, making running in a straight line while shooting them the easiest strategy. Luckily there are some mods which adds bosses who completely negate that shit.

Backgrounds not being flush with diagonal glass walls is the only flaw with Terraria

Different guy but I had just killed the guarding and fought moonlord the same way on release, ufo + rod of discord easily out paced him and the ufos vertical speed was insane so you could get passed him everytime to turn around, occasionally had to use the vampiric knives to heal

WoF is honestly my favourite boss. While it's pretty easy, you can't really cheese it like other bosses.

No, feels like you have more options with WoF, you don't need to build a walkway across the entire underworld. Same with other bosses; you can build something to make them easier to fight or just use better equipment and potions and shit.
I guess it could be argued that because Moon Lord is the final boss that it should require all of your skills including building, but I don't know how viable anything other than building is.

Ufo, rod of discord, asphalt, camping nurse/heart statues/honey actually using potion buffs and not just health potions. Plenty of ways to beat the boss, most of which are common methods to beat other bosses slightly earlier then normal

Thorium, Spirit Mod (Discontinued), SacredTools, JoostMod, GRealm, Elements Awoken, Qwerty's Bosses and Items and Calamity are just some of them, but the better ones.
It's advised to download the Calamity nerf for calamity as the mod has some pretty hefty scaling that goes beyond some of the other mods if you choose to play them together. It does nothing to calamity as it scales down both items and the bosses which keeps their difficulty the same but makes the other bosses not die so easily.

I'm also working on an Etrian Odyssey BGM wavebank. I'm pretty satisfied with the atmospheric tracks, but not the battle/event ones.

I switched to expert the second it came out and never looked back, so I never actually fought him on normal. I distinctly remember having a hard time but still being able to maneuver around most of his attacks.

Get yourself a weapon that doesnt require you to be too accurate, like the snowman launcher from ice queen

You can craft op fucking weapons with the Pillars, which would help you against other bosses.
Beetle Armor is best defensive armour before the Pillars.

You can beat Normal Mode Moon Lord this way:

>Make a small box and fill it with liquid honey. Make sure you can breath if you stand in it
>Put a campfire and heart lantern near
>Make a bigger box around the smaller blocks, it will prevent Moon Lords explosive attacks from hurting you
>Lower each eye's health very low and kill them all at the same time. If you dont, an unkillable enemy will annoy you for the duration of the rest of the fight
>Pack your strongest potions, defensive accessories and offensive accessories

Meanwhile I'd love a bunch of bosses that are tiny, player-sized or even smaller.

The auto climb animation for going over blocks.
You cannot jump up through platforms without going through the animation especially when fighting a boss and you are in a rush to move around.

There should be a final boss for when your world has less than 3% corruption/crimson
Of course it'd be optional since I'm sure some people like their corruption biomes.
Once killing it your world would be 100% purified. There'd be no more corruption. Also the dryad would aid you in that fight.

My first time playing with mods and I just snagged Thorium, Spirit, Fargo, and Antiarus as the main ones. After that, I then slapped on some QoL mods and a few other things.
Enjoyable so far but the only things that bugs me is that progression feels out of order unsure of what or where to go next and too many fucking items cluttering up my inventory. Kinda my fault for getting these huge mods all at once

i like your idea but i would tweak it a little
instead of 3% corruption/crimson needed you just need to have below 10 or 15% after golem/moon lord
after that instead of an instant boss spawn the world will start spawning an object spawning the boss (like plantera bulbs)
you can also do it the other way around, having a boss when the corruption/crimson is 90% of the world.
the boss can have an enrage buff like plantera that he will get beefed up when you will leave its biome (will make you very critical on what you purify and what not)
dryad can just have her blessing more effective when fighting the boss
but i still think moon lord is a good final boss despite what everyone says so i dont think your option should be the final boss but more like a secret one, like just being an avatar of its biome

There's a very secret pony mount that requires beating a super worm boss while 'drunk' on alcohol named after the brony modder. Googling 'fabsol' makes you find his pony accounts, proving it's his horse waifu.
there's also at least 3-4 Undertale references in weapon and accessory form.
and the lore reads like generic edgy fanfiction, what with the main bosses (those implemented and those still planned) always turning out to be clones or impossible to truely kill because the modder wants his favorite OCs and his OC waifu to be virtually invincible.

If you already made a skybridge during pre-hardmode, just use that with several campfires and heart lanterns dotted along the track (or not, if you're confident in dodging its attacks).
If you have an overall issue taking damage, make sure to wear the Cross Necklace if you have it.
Pretty much anything else is straightforward.

There's a mod that allows you to cut/copy/paste in game. You could just paste it over if you really wanted to.

How do I speedrun and get to Moon Lord as fast as possible guys? Alternatively how to get to Hard mode as fast as possible too. I always end up spending forever in pre-Hard Mode.

Danmaku in touhou works because you can use ALL the screen to move unlike terraria, also the fact that you even accelerate at all in terraria means you can't do most of the spellcards from any touhou game, since micrododging is imposible , the way you move in terraria literally can't work with the danmaku in touhou without being 100% reworked, including all the currently existing content.
the screen also shows way to little in order to properly dodge anything.

I'm not saying a bullet hell can't be done on terraria (calamity does them and they aren't that bad), but the type of danmaku in touhou literally can't work in terraria.

It works just fine, you fag. Terraria giving you more than one hit before death automatically compensates for the movement issues.

Boss fights already feel like bullet hell though.

You need to be fast and able to dodge into any direction:

No shit dogding is fun, but half the fun of 2hu is seeing the patterns themselves, which is why even Minecraft managed to make a 2hu mod cool even though Minecraft is probably the least suited game for Danmaku in the world. Same goes for Doom, for that matter.

First, dont break any demon altars, a random block somewhere in the world gets corrupted if you do

Either:
>Make a 6 block wide hellevator on each side of the corrupted area
Or:
>Buy Clentaminator from the Steampunker after beating any mechanical boss

Now you can either:
>Go into the corrupted biome and shoot everything with the standard Green Solution
>Shoot Hallow where you dont want any corruption

The first option only sets the corruption back a lot, because you will probably miss a single corrupted block

The second will replace the corruption with hallow, which also has annoying enemies.

Note: Your NPCs cant live in houses near corruption, but are okay with hallow

there's a 50% chance it'll corrupt a random block in the world which will spread really fast, and its hard to tell where it is.

Every altar you break spawns a seed of corruption randomly somewhere on the map, making it a total bitch to quarantine.
Break altars and mine the hardmode ore offworld if you care about keeping your main world squeaky clean. Otherwise prepare for late game tunnels and blowing lots of plat on clentaminator ammo.

Corruption never spreads fast enough to be that big of a deal, and it's literally not a problem if you know how to deal with it.

I'm not crazy about him. It's an alright boss, but he's probably the least interesting Hardmode boss short of the mechanical bosses.
