There is no hype around Classic WoW anymore. Did the streamer beta seriously destroy it?

WoW was never good.

Times have simply changed, user. You may re-create Classic that was 1:1, but that community is long gone.

Well, community (at least in the sense of how players interact) needs not enter into it because more experienced players will approach the game differently, regardless of culture surrounding the game. Say, whether the culture is to raidlog or to get world buffs to speedrun raids in 20 minutes, raiding high-end vanilla content isn't going to have any sort of prestige it would have had during retail, simply because there's a billion hours worth of know-how the community has accumulated over the past decade, as well as individual players with thousands of hours of personal experience.

The only people who would seriously be interested in a "classic" mmo are PKers. Player killers. WoW was always shit and the only people who say "the pvp was good" are idiots who never played anything before WoW or possibly Everquest on a carebear server.

because I don't want to play it with 2019 people I want to play it with 2004 people and that isn't going to happen

This is true. People forget that back in the day your average MMORPG player didn't know jack shit because the entire MMO thing was new to them. Unless you came from Everquest which pretty much meant you made it top tier WoW easily.
