Every single Samus I've ever played online always runs to the corner to spam missiles, charge beam, and if one hits, runs and combos to up air, runs away, rinse and repeat. It's annoying as shit to play in lag, hence unga bunga.

The Links are similar. Adult Link is unironically high IQ in offline play because you need to master bomb play, but online they just run to the edge, spam arrow and boomerang and always land with down-air.

You don't even need to be that high IQ to look like a "bomb master". Here's a secret tip 9 out of 10 Link players don't tell you they do: is the opponent recovering to ledge? Huck a bomb and detonate. Boom. Eventually it'll connect and you look like you made a high IQ snipe play.

No, Little Mac is common in wi-fi. It's annoying because the idiots who play him think landing super armored smashes in high latency validates high skill level. I'm at the point where I just jump around them making it impossible to hit me until they get impatient and desperate; it's not fun, but it teaches them a lesson.

If you want to get the best out of Link, you need to do a lot more with the bomb than players of your low skill level are capable of.

If you watch top Smash Ultimate streamers, they play Little Macs in elite all the time. Most players like having a niche main for hipster value.
