How do n64 games run on a hacked switch? Fuck its been my dream to have portable n64 games fuck.

The UI is functional but pretty clunky. It's not the the Sony-style XMB itself is a bad idea but there are so many menus and sub menus that it can be a bit overwhelming for a first time user. I just want a nice catalog of game box arts and when I click on one the game starts up.

On PC, I use an older version of Launchbox as a frontend. Pretty versatile even with the free version

Eventually it might able to emulate the Saturn, 6th gen consoles like the Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, and even the PSP. Switch is going to be the new PSP in terms of being a portable emulator box.

You should be fine if you haven't been banned already, although I recommend uninstalling whatever NSPs you might have and stick with XCI.

Did that already. Cleaned entire sysNand (game data, updates, dlcs), only didn't do a factory reset. Will be buying SMM2 physical so in case I get banned I can just resell it.
I still want to kill myself for installing the Joker DLC when I thought I had emunand enabled, ffs.

I don't think that Gamecube is available yet, but a more and more N64 and PS1 games are running at full speed now.

If you have SXOS it's easy as tits. During the boot menu you just go to options and then choose "create emunand" and then choose to have the files on the SD card. You have a choice of whether or not to hide the files. Most people don't hide them since you have to reformat your SD card and I am not convinced that it offers any tangible benefit.

Installing the emunand takes the system about a half hour to finish so the big thing is to be patient and make sure your switch is plugged into the AC adapter. From there all you need to do is keep it enabled on the SXOS launch screen and you don't have to worry about it.

Hundreds of games at your disposal that you'll never really play and instead go play some snes stuff for a bit before forgetting about it

Forgot to mention, when you launch your new Emunand you should disable stealth mode and install the latest official firmware from Nintendo on it. You will still be able to use all of SXOS's features. I generally keep stealth mode enabled unless I am playing games online or using the eShop, but that's just me being a little extra paranoid.

I have a Wii U but haven’t gone through the effort of hacking it. I think I heard you can inject N64 roms for it. Can I use retroarch on that?

N64 games run perfectly using the virtual console that's on the wiiu. nearly the same with gaycube games

I only downloaded a few games to try out. I mainly use my CFW to back up my legit cartridges so I don't have to carry them around, especially things like my Limited Run games that I would be really pissed off if I lost.

You could use the trannyware option and a phone to launch the payload. You'll still need a jig though, unless you are really trusting of your hand with a paperclip.

Retroarch is a front end, not an emulator. The emulation cores are all from different devs.

It does have a lot of features I like. For instance, it's one of the easiest ways to get pixel-perfect integer scaling on any system, and I like how they added bonus stuff like online achievements.
