"I'm mad because I'm bad" isn't critique, it's whining in hopes that someone pats you on the head and says it's okay to be retarded.
If they want to be regarded as critics, they should be able to pass the bare minimum of being half-decent at consuming the media they aspire to consume. Journalists in general have a bad reputation for sensationalist yellow journalism that paints them all with a broad brush of being clickbaity idiots who'll kick up a fuss just to get attention and ad revenue.
Until proven otherwise, all "game reporters and influencers" are on the same level as a braindead fully grown man that is unable to grasp a simple tutorial that was solved faster by a bird.

It's getting overwhelmingly positive reviews and you're bitching about one crusty journo. Who even cares? Just play the damn game and have fun.

you have to understand, nearly all the gameplay people saw up until the last few days before release were absolute godawful influencers like that were ridiculously incompetent and frustrating, it made people disgruntled with the gaming press way bwfore reviews even came out

I don't. I still really liked that game. But I had a feeling CTR would be better, as someone who's favorite kart racer is Sonic Transformed and who never played the original CTR.
Either way I'm glad I gave it a fair chance like I am Nitro Fueled, always good to be open to different stuff

Reminds me when Sonic Lost world or whatever it's called came out and all those review videos on youtube were all the same saying it's medicore at best because it was too hard for them
