what mods do you need to make morrowind playable?
What mods do you need to make morrowind playable?
Skyrim
code patch
optionally a graphics overhaul
Unironically none.
I played it on xbox
Code Patch
Linora's Levelling
Always Cast Mod
Apoapse's Attack Mod
This makes is bearable to play for a modern audience without completely destroying the experience. Enjoy.
Like, for real? None.
But the code patch helps straighten out some bugs, and graphics won't affect the completely fine gameplay don't let anti-diceroll niggers tell you otherwise. It doesn't look pretty in combat but it plays just fine.
Only Code Patch is "essential". The others are just your favored playstyle.
Which by the way is BTB's mods for me.
Anyway, actual essential mods: Morrowind Code Patch, Unofficial Patch, Delay Dark Brotherhood, Talrivian's State-Based HP.
I say "essential" because they fix bugs and unintended behaviors. There's a shitton of mods everyone uses, if OP is interested in those.
>Apoapse's Attack Mod
Fuck off, zoomer.
It’s already plausible you zoomer failure
OpenMW then fuck off and play it
second
openmw
Sexy bodies and armors also
Honestly I'm playing it now for the first time after getting playing only Oblivion and Skyrim before. It's a bit weird getting used to the lack of way points and the chance to attack/cast, but it is actually lots of fun. I just got Umbra at level 9ish, and I'm trying to get Azura's star and enough INT to summon a golden saint so I can finally make that Necklace of Levitation with a constant effect.
mge xe. thats it.
Cliff Racer Exterminator
Is it ready yet? Can I finish the main quest in it now?
uninstall.exe
OpenMW is literally all you need for engine purposes. Morrowind Patch Project supplements for bugs that are caused by errors not as a result of the engine. Tamriel Rebuilt and Morrowind Rebirth are nice if you've done everything and want to experience the game differently. Graphics mods are all optional, but if you want to make the game look a bit prettier, go ahead. I advise against mods that fundamentally change gameplay, change item value, etc.
Protip: skip the levitation and make a belt that gives you 1 point of slowfall. This will make you fall at a rate not easily discernable from normal fall speed. Level your alchemy and start making potions that boost your intelligence. The effect will continue to stack, keep making more of those as your int goes up, then make spells that give you 100 points of jump, and just use those to travel. You'll move more quickly and won't incur fall damage. You can also just make levitation potions with absurdly long duration times(several hours irl), but keep in mind you'll have to use beds to sleep.
>re playing as a spear using lizard wizard
>game bugs out after using bound spear
>it is now stuck in my inventory
>it is too broken since it is a deadric spear that has no weight and fortifies the spear skill too
Ruined game. Should I continue in this doomed world?
>telling someone to break the game with alchemy abuse
Jump spell is good advice though
op might not be but I am
I like to consider it a feature, but you need the intelligence boost to be able to cast the spell. A lot of spells you can make go beyond magicka cap even as a high elf with the atronach as your birthsign minus intelligence fortification.
player->removeobject bound_spear 1
You can fortify your intelligence and/or max magicka through spells and potions normally without needing to abuse the infinite loop. It's fine if you don't really care anymore and just want to godmode through the game but it's not something anyone should do on their first playthrough.
Sure, that I can agree with. At the same time I think it's a real treat for the player who starts from a place of nothing to eventually becoming a godlike entity.
this is what I use although a couple are duplicate optional mods that won't be on and some are minor patches I made for myself to fix spelling mistakes or whatever
Something to make Magicka regenerate without having to slam potions or cheese spell absorption sign with conjuring.
Just rest nigga.
Pshaw! I played a pre-release leak given to me by a friend who works at Nintendo. I was too young to realize this at the time, but later a friend bought the game and there were some serious differences, so that's when it clicked.
I had written a dozen patches in CS by the time I stabbed the heart, but there were no mods around at the time, to my knowledge.
So yes, +1 for unironically none.
None, actually. Morrowind functions fine, but keep an eye on your stamina.
