It's an okay platform for modding, even if it doesn't have 1/10th the DLC-sized/companion/quest mods that Skyrim has.

Yes, the game is shit in it's vanilla form. Yes, even modded it's still kind of shit. But it did do some things well.
Also, as fucking stupid as it was making the player character voiced, it's almost worth it for the sarcastic responses. Going up to a synth courser, being asked who I am, and answering "Yeah, I'm here to pick up an order, a large pepperoini and a calzone, under the name Fuck You".

They saved a lot of development time and money by giving retards the ability to build hideous square blocks of trash out of blank heaps of trash as the settlements instead of actually designing any interesting towns on the map. I liked the 10mm pistol even though it was too big. And the protectrons were cool. And I liked what they did with power armor. And the airship was epic.

I think the glowing sea is a neat idea for an environment

Scavenging for junk in ruins now actually serves a purpose.
