I mean given all the evidence, such as new merchandise, the amazon listing, etc., I'd say his chances for a remaster are decent enough, but I can't say the same for an all new game.

They'll do what they did with Crash and Spyro and remake the first two games to test the water to see if he's still popular. Personally I see him selling about as much as Spyro.

"New" new game - unlikely and I don't trust current rare to mimic or adapt the original gameplay for the modern era
A remake or remaster however seems more possible given the risk return investment in a project like that. And the fact that B&K were recently revealed for smash means it is the perfect time to cash in on the nostalgia of the first two games. They can even release it on the switch.
