It could be handled in the dmc 1 way, where Alucard is shown to be invincible in cutscenes, but you can still get game overs while playing.
It's a compromise, but it would be well worth it for all the cool shit that could be in that game.

The manga/anime itself doesn't really have any pedo themes, there's some sexual elements in the relationship between the characters but it makes sense in the context and it doesn't come off as creepy. The author, however, draws naked lolis and whatnot as additional content for the volumes, so, well...
