Absolutely never, which is why it's truly forgotten.

Nu-Sony games aren’t good, they are overproduced & tedious walking simulators that were only created to pander to casuals & journalists

>when tf is this game that i never played going to be good?

When it transforms into Ape Escape 4

Unironically never. I'm not even opposed to cinematic games, I loved TLoU, this was just one big cock tease.

>you didn't like it so therefore you didn't actually play it

if you played the ps2 gow then it doesn't get better and ends abruptly

After four hours. Assuming you are playing this with no breaks.

The combat seemed too stiff in the beginning for my taste, but 4-6 hours in when I started unlocking stuff and understood how to chain stuff together efficiently I started to really like it

It wont. Youll waste countless hours on a 6/10 movie.

don't worry user i played it and i can say for sure that it is very mediocre

It was fun punching ogres and trolls until they died

The extreme hyperbolic praise for this game is honestly one of the most baffling things I've ever seen.

How? Reviewers have been movie crap since TLOU and Uncharted.

This.

>'oh man, it's been forever since I played GoW!'
>bust out the consoles, play through 1-3 back-to-back
>Try this shit out
Compare the first 10 minutes of this to GoW 1 and weep at this shitty future we inhabit. I mad.

>going from those gigantic boss fights and, dare I say it, cinematic pieces in God of War 2 and 3, to fighting some fucking hobo with an over the shoulder camera
Yeah.

I'm exclusively a PS4 gamer. This game isn't fun.

Videogames are interactive entertainment through a television screen and a controller.
Videogames that are more inclined to sacrifice narrative for maximum gameplay are generally directed towards younger audiences that want to "play a game" in the most basic sense. E.g. Fortnite, Rocket League, Mariokart.
In some cases these types of games are meant for a more mature audience but this is usually when the game in question is more in tune with real world activities and trends, e.g. sports games, motorsport games, simulators.

Compared to these, everything is "movie crap". But ever since the inception of gaming narrative has been heavily present, and with technology rendering images more clear and visual, cutscenes can be better utilised. So in every sense, a videogame is a movie that you can control to some degree.
