I've only played Blade 1&2 and it depends on your tolerance for weebshit in some cases. 1 has really strong characters with an awesome world. 2 is more anime aesthetically, but has a better combat system and I think a better story on the whole (but that is a contentious statement)

I'm honestly blinded quite a bit by my nostalgia for FFX. But having played through it recently I will say it still has the BEST turn based battle system in any final fantasy. Also the world aesthetic and lore are all still really good as well.
The story is fine and a bit messy at times, and most of the characters are trash (Lulu and Auron still kick ass though) and the voice acting goes from serviceable to bad. But I still love it and think it has plenty of merits

I don't usually like 4x4s but this has very nice variety, great job.
As someone that only beat it this year and thus has no nostalgia, I fucking adored it. The combat is incredibly fun for how straight it plays its mechanics, and the story, music, and presentation all range from 9-12/10 for me.

I go back and forth between TTYD and the original. I just like the style of the original better but TTYD is more fun and has better characters/worlds.

not him but play the second one, TTYD. It holds up the best. I like 64 almost as much, but you have a few more combat options in TTYD
