Imagine a Punisher game in the molds of Tom Clancy's Wildlands, in which you have to eliminate an entire south-American cartel from the bottom to the top. No open-world bullshit but instead single (big) areas for each mission, like how the contracts work in Hitman.

I know it would never, ever happen but my fantasy is a game of super-edgy Ennis Punisher mixed with the /k/ autism of Armory. Small but richly detailed open world city with an organised crime network that you disrupt, starting with surveillance and trickery then working your way up to frontal assaults. Sort of more toward Hitman on a bigger scale than GTA or something.

Bernthal is the best actor to have played Frank. The real issue is that without inner monologues and a vast amount of bad guys, Frank is really boring. The writers of the show tried to make him a good guy when the whole concept of Frank is that he isn’t good, or evil. He’s just a guy with a mission.

I don't think so. They tried showing his human side but, by that point, he didn't have any. I'm aware that the audience will not be able to cope with the real Frank Castle and I get that the producers were afraid they might react negatively because of that and that's why it got toned down but it's still not the actual Punisher.

Yeah but Season 2 also has the shrink and Midani sitting around and re-iterating the "is he good or bad" argument that they already used in Daredevil S2 and Punisher S1. And those scenes are so fucking long, goddammit.

Would be cool if they added a mechanic where you can kill as many criminals as you want, but you get a game over if you ever kill any of the many cops that are shooting at you (unless you've found proof that they're corrupt), requiring you to come up with ways of either running away or neutralizing the cops non-lethally with rubber bullets.

They could probably make it Bamham inspired but up the brutality by preventing you from effectively tripling your health by endgame like in later Bamham games, having enemy attacks take off huge chunks of your health, and the window for counters being much smaller or at least not telegraphed by a flashy .jpeg and them holding up their arms for ten years.
