Isn't it obvious, you retard? DLC or an option in the menu that unlocks the character for use after her death. It's the simplest thing ever and she doesn't even have to show up in cutscenes.
I'm playing the original for the first time. So far, there are a lot of funny bits, like Barret punching the guy into the camera, the squat contest to get the wig, the fact that Miss Cloud is a thing, and the house enemy. I'm going to be upset if none of this is in the remake.
