Balde Runner didn't either.
>you realize the golden age of vidya is gone
...
Cyberpunk was already dead by the time they started digging it up in the last decade. They might as well be apeing restoration theatre for all they understand about it

>chock holding a bird
That's why they have to die.
>You realize that there was never any hope to begin with when Witcher 3 was trash and most people don't know about the original BR
I watched sea breams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate, you know.
>I tried to expand my life but failed
>I saw my partner getting killed
Guess i'll die
I like the movie a lot, but it's plot is its weakest point by far. Decker does no actual detective work despite being a detective except for the retarded "enhance scene, and some scenes are pretty stupid like when he pretends to be a reporter looking for Zhora and does some unbelievable wiener voice. There is also the shitty unicorn scene. Also, very little actually happens throughout the course of the movie.
The original's plot and pacing is its weakest part easily. Everything else is great.
Also, I'm 35.
you're a bit late to the party, the golden age of vidya died in 2007
>final boss is just a naked guy with super human strength
>can't even beat him and he bails you out from falling to your death
Almost like the movie was made in the 80's or something
Never did Witcher 3 it was the side quests like Bloody Baron or Novigrad quests that made it good.
What the fuck does that have to do with a shit plot?
>he was even dying
>What the fuck does that have to do with a shit plot?
Look at my post and then look at your post again
Don't mind me, I'm just here to deliver the best line of the film
He wasnt a detective tho, he was a Blade runner
>caring about the plot
I just wanna fuck around and explore
I dont remember what he said. Something about were last.
This is the guy that inspired Bryan Fury.
>millennial
How did it die in 2007 when 2007 was such a great year for games?
TOO BAD SHE WILL NOT SURVIVE!
His job was working with the police to find replicants. He was a bounty hunter, but his job consisted mostly of investigation. He's called a detective in the book, which isn't surprising because cyberpunk is based off of noir detective pulp.
"It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does?"
>caring about story in a vidya gaem
It's pretty interesting how overthough the plot is by most people and they completely miss the point. Hell, the only strong point of the nublade runner was that they somewhat captured the theme of the first one
it was its swan song.
Oh yeah if i remember right the director cut edited it off something
Based, fuck kikerunner.
>plotfaggots
>Let's go Samurai
>caring about plot in video GAMES
Go "play" a shitty snoy movie then.
It'll have the best stories (sidequests will be awesome) of any game for a long time. What would even compete?
>Kojima
dementia-riddled cluster fuck of a storyteller
>JRPGs of any kind
Lol
I cant even think of many western studios that put out grandiose single player RPGs anymore.. Maybe VTMB2?
>grandiose
>Witcher 3
Maybe if you're underage
It's basically impossible to get the original version of BR, everyone is selling only director's cut nowadays. I know cause i tried.
>sidequests will be awesome
What are you basing this on? Sidequests in W3 were garbage.
Outside of story/setting it's just another GTA game. If you don't care about story/setting you don't need the game.
Not really. The whole JOI thing actually contradicts the entire theme of the first movie .
>Decker
You didn't really pay attention clearly. There's a lot of interesting points to the plot. Deckard isn't the important character, it's mostly about Batty and his progression from a man forced to kill for a living (like Deckard), who rebels against and kills his own creators, and finally his redemption in saving Deckard as his last act. There's a lot of metaphor as well but that's an aside.
>Ridley Scott publicly disowned this workprint version of the film as a "director's cut," citing that it was roughly edited, lacked a key scene, and the climax did not feature the score composed for the film by Vangelis.
Lófaszt, nehogy már! Te vagy a Blade Runner!
Aside from the retarded incelbait AI girlfriend
Just saw the directors cut on imdb's shitty movie streaming thing. It ended abruptly with no credited right as he picked up an origami bird. Was this some art house shit or did IMDb fuck up?
read
>The removal of Deckard's 13 explanatory voice-overs.
>The insertion of a dream sequence of a unicorn running through a forest. The original sequence of the dream—showing Deckard intercut with the running unicorn—was not found in a print of sufficient quality. Arick was thus forced to use a different print that shows only the unicorn running, without any intercutting to Deckard. This unicorn scene suggests a completely different interpretation at the end of the film: Gaff's origami unicorn implies that Deckard's dreams are known to him, implying that Deckard's memories are artificial and that therefore he is a replicant of the same generation as Rachael.
>The removal of the studio-imposed "happy ending", including some associated visuals which had originally run under the film's end-credits. This made the film end ambiguously when the elevator doors closed.

The plot is the weakest part of Blade Runner too
Fucking zoomers I swear
Decker is the focus character even if Roy was the interesting one. This is another fuck up in either narrative focus or acting. Harrison acts like shit for the most part in this movie and he's boring because of it. He was miscast frankly. The narrative also follows him instead of Roy... both of which were two huge mistakes in the movie. They could have written Deckered better, they could have had him act better, or they could have shifted the narrative to Roy.
Oh, English must be your first language, look up the definition of the word.
Obviously not every sidequests but I'm looking forward to the several ones they do put effort into. The setting is imo conducive to some interesting narratives, excited to see where they take it
I do agree Ford is a pretty bland actor, although that kind of works in the atmosphere of the movie where everyone is barely human. However it was important to show the events from his perspective rather than Batty's so you initially believe Batty to be an evil rogue madman, but then as Deckard meets more replicants and even becomes intimate with one not only does his opinion on replicants change but so will the audience's. Then Deckard rebels just as Batty did and runs away from his duty. I think it's constructed perfectly well.
Was Harrison ever a good actor?
Rachael is kino.
Ford was still miscast. Yes, they were trying to make him stoic and aloof, but it's out of his wheelhouse and it shows.
He has an arc, but it's very small, much like Roy's. Roy more or less changes on a dime in the last act, but Rutger sells it so well it never comes off as jarring or contrived even if its a bit out of nowhere. It's actually a great little piece of acting. The only real scene that leads up to the change is Roy's freakout the scene with Tyrell and the showdown with Deckard.
Deckard's has a little more arc movement.
I actually think the movie would have been better from Roy's perspective with Deckard as a cunning force of nature that was constantly in pursuit of the replicants.
She's also based

"The sophistication of the neuro linguistic programming involved in that.. is... people are not aware of that either. It's actually safer to get ice cream than to watch these programs. You are being effected on a subliminal level that you don't even know. You are that unaware of how deeply effected you are by it. All you have to do is shut your TV off for a month and monitor how you feel."
>dude i saw some huge as beams n shit
>*dies*
wtf was that ending?
>his life was limited and was close to death
>he said the most impressive thing he saw in his life before dying
The rest of us realized this a year ago
Back to your discord tranny.

That 'cunt in a convent' line sounded really retarded coming from a woman
Fuck James Woods. We could have had more Seankino
I think it's rad and honestly the whole 50 minute demo should have had this song on repeat in the background to really sell the tone of the writing
youtu.be
my prediction for the plot is, that all was just a "simulation", or something like this
(maybe, that's why they hired Keanu Reeves for the game)
