If you're looking to craft, you're going to have to level all the jobs because of cross-class skills being really good for crafters to the point of crafting being balanced around them. Just don't worry about it, you'll get gear as you go.

crafting is a gigantic time and gil sink before you actually start making back some profit so beware
you unlock glamours after a sidequest in vesper bay at level 15 iirc
