I can remember being on my dad's shoulders watching a building in my city get demolished, apparently in 1998, and yet I have no recollection of 9/11 whatsoever. I have no idea why considering it was apparently on our local news constantly for months.

I've only had major trouble emulating PS1 and PS2. It's weird how I can play Project M flawlessly on Dolphin but the PS1 emulator struggles a little with Symphony of the Night (it even softlocked after I killed Orlox, he just kept exploding and he never "died").

I find emulation better since it's more accessible, especially for old systems. The games (and the consoles if you don't already have one) are way easier to find; to play on the actual console, you'd either need the cartridge or something like an everdive, while also needing to physically set up the system on a TV. All of that on emulator is just downloading the ROM, the emulator, and setting up the controller (or keyboard). Most of the time you won't even need to set up plugins.

The keyword here is accessibility, since the answer to "which one plays better" is usually "the emulator does what it's supposed to do"

1991 here. Grew up with a snes and gameboy, and later got all the Nintendo consoles in order, however, I missed out on owning an N64 and NES until past the Gamecube era, so I don't have a lot of games I feel nostalgic for on them.

I remember playing Halo 2 every day in high school and then never touching an Xbox again afterwards. Microsoft consoles, lmao.

I emulated so many old games on my shitty, ancient laptops and psp it was insane, but still pretty comfy.
