THIS. GAME. IS. okay. it has nice visuals, great music and charming characters but the moment to moment gameplay is a bit dull and it doesn't really do anything to differentiate itself from its contemporaries
Anti-Tooiefags in a nutshell.
I've never seen a single one come up with actual arguments. It's always empty seething.
t. stevefag
>they dont do the little animation when you collect a jiggy
SOULLESS
>It's always empty
That's my argument
HOLY FUCKING BTFO
Just proving the point further.
Lots of backtracking. You have to traverse the same world as BK, Banjo, Kazooie, Mumbo, then whatever transformation you get from Wumba in order to get everything done. Wasn't that one of the major complaints in DK64?
Also, some jiggies are completely disconnected from their world, which is fucking bullshit.
>I like running around empty overly sized levels
This is why nobody takes tooiefags seriously.
You have to go over every single corner of the level 5 times over in DK64 because of the color coded minor collectibles. You just have to get one or two places as Mumbo and the transformation. It's really not comparable.
>Also, some jiggies are completely disconnected from their world, which is fucking bullshit.
>Backtracking in metroidvanias and souls game when youtubers tell me it's well designed GOOD
>Backtracking in games where youtubers don't tell me it's well designed BAD
Just keep proving my point further fuckboy
Backtracking is always bad. The fact that you bring up youtubers for some reason makes me believe you're the one who is actually "empty seething".
>Backtracking is always bad.
t. actual ADHD riddled middle schooler
You cannot have good world design with everything being 1 and done
Banjo Kazooie proves otherwise.
Kazooie and Tooie are both unironic 10/10s.
Kazooie is simple which isn't necessarily a bad thing
Tooie is slower paced, which also isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I hate to see my Banjobros fight over such nonsense.
The best worlds in Kazooie are the ones require you to go back like Freezeezy and Gobi and the cumulative ones at the end like Rusty Bucket and Click Clock.
All the early 1 and dones like Mumbo's Mountain are unremarkable. Mumbo's Mountain is one of the most boring levels in video game history.
You only need to go back to Freezeezy though.
>cumulative ones
What are you even talking about?
There is literally 1(one) jiggy in the entire game that requires you to backtrack. That's the second Boggy race which you need the fast shoes. Otherwise you can collect every single jiggy in every single world on your first visit.
>There is literally 1(one) jiggy in the entire game that requires you to backtrack.
The entirety of Grunty Pads are backtracking.
I can't think of a single one that doesn't show up somewhere you've already been
Only legit autists like collectathons. Prove me wrong.
>TOOIE BACKTRACKING BAD
>Picking between going to Freezeezy or Gobi first (and lets be honest, you have to go back to Bubblegloop unless you cheese Mr. Vile's pathing), Grunty Pads, and opening up Click Clock Woods and other navigation in the lair doesn't count!
That's the hub though. It's meant to connect things so it makes sense, no matter what level you complete, you'll always end up back in the hub. It won't be as content heavy as the actual worlds either.
>He went on top of Mumbo's Mountain entrance before getting the transformation
>He climbed the pipes outside of Clanker's Cavern before going in
Are you retarded
>Doesn't count
Why can't we just agree both games are good?
You must love collectathons.
>lets be honest, you have to go back to Bubblegloop unless you cheese Mr. Vile's pathing
>being this bad at video games
It's all within the same world. Why are you trying to defend Tooie's backtracking so much? They are honestly not comparable.
It makes me laugh how zoomers discover Banjo for the first time from all the shitposting for 2 years in a row for Smash and they play both and prefer Kazooie even though their garbage open world games like BotW are the epitome of empty and backtracking.
You can't beat Mr. Vile's final challenge unless you either let him push you ahead of him or use the running shoes.
This isn't up for debate, it's objective, Kazooie doesn't have any movement tech to overcome Mr. Vile being faster than you. It's like calling somebody a casual because you objectively can't get to the flightpad outside of Freezeezy without running shoes.
>Otherwise you can collect every single jiggy in every single world on your first visit.
doesn't mean a game should make you.
doesn't mean a game shouldn't warn you that you need every single music note, either.
>DOESN'T COUNT!
>needing Vile to push you
>needing the shoes
Literally just go for large clumps of yumblies instead of chasing the closest one like a retard
Beating Mr.Vile isn't that hard without the running shoes to be honest. Maybe you should replay the game before you try and shit on it.
The game doesn't make you collect them all at once. It doesn't make you backtrack either. That's something called "player choice'.
On the other hand Tooie forces you to backtrack in nearly every world.
I just replayed it. You physically cannot do it without camping his yumblies or the shoes. Cope harder.
I don't need to cope when I can beat Mr Vile ez as pie
Git gud
All those fetch quests and first person sections must have caused your brain to rot.
the worlds are bigger but honestly they have cooler themes and more going on. i mean even the first level with is small by comparison you can play soccer and fps shooting fun. the minigames alone in this game make it better
I mean I can lie and say I reach the freezeezy flightpad without running shoes on an anonymous forum. Doesn't make it true.
>Entire argument is now boiling down to outright dishonesty
Lmaoing at your life
It's funny that you actually think it's literally impossible to beat Mr Vile w/o shoes or cheese. Git gud.
Pretty sure they all show up right by the entrances to the world you activated them in, so as soon as you leave the world they're right there. There's no backtracking involved.
Calm down Arin. Go shit on Zelda some more while saying excuses on how much you suck.
So you're gonna post a video of you beating Mr. Vile without abusing his pathing or running shoes, right?
i like tooie more, but both are excellent games
If I could record xbox game play I would, surely if you're in dire need of proof there's like a billion let's plays out there
Not him, but while it technically does count, it's way better than having to go back entirely in a stage to get a jiggy.
I accept your concession.
>without abusing his pathing
That's how you're supposed to beat him.
It wasn't bad for a sequel but the maps were all over the place.
Cheesing him pushing you forward is not how you're supposed to beat him dumbass.
Really? I'm having a lot of fun with it right now.
Whatever makes you happy
git gud
>botW
>Backtracking
Wut
Nigger I could do this when I was a child, stop being bad
I only just beat the game for the first time the other day, and I didn't have a problem with it. Yes, he's challenging, but if you just anticipate the change in color you're supposed to grab, you're good.
Are you fucking retarded? BOTW has a bunch of locations you have to constantly return to.
Not me, but as you can see it's not that hard.
youtube.com
>poster count doesn't go up
lmao
this is why I usually open Gobi's Valley, grab the shoes, then head into Freezeezy Peak in one go.
????
It's almost like we're on a reply chain, and we've been talking to each other this whole time
Here's a secret.
Mr Vile will ALWAYS target the closest available Yumbly to him.
Don't be Mr Vile you dumb dumb.
If you see a cluster of yumblies far away, it will be in your best interests to target those instead of tunnel visioning the closest Yumbly as if you were as brainless as the AI you're battling.
I never thought I'd have to explain pro banjo Kazooie strats to someone but here we are
I was a new poster though, you numbskull. I guess I shouldn't be surprised you can't beat a kids game the way it's intended.
Plus you can let him eat 5-10 at the start and slowly catch up because of the rubber banding.
Uh... no, it doesn't... you never have to return to an area regardless of how much of it you completed. You can only do dungeons/bosses you enjoy and go straight to the end of the game. You don't have to backtrack because you never have to go anywhere, period.
Better make a MSPaint image now that you've been proven wrong lmao
